lol, but seriously though, don't for one second think that India would be better off if the military acted without government approval.
Not really. There is a mechanism. But govt. has put extra constraints and the politics. This is what I hate.

When it comes to national interest, individual ambitions and internal politics shouldn't play a role.

I agree.. conceptually, Military should be under civilian control always.. However, given the civilian leadership quality in both our countries, this belief waivers every now and then ....

Honestly? India is much better off this way.

Whether it waivers or not, regardless of civilian leadership quality, the military should never gain a foothold in politics and power.
