The Indian identity is ancient, a region known as Pakistan only came in 1947 when a section of people who previously called themselves as Indians, started to call themselves as Pakistanis.

That doesn't mean europeans have no right to be called germans, british, scottish, irish, french, or black or brown

Start looking at yourself from a local, and you will see that you are a lot more than a basic term Indian.

You need to read some of Allama Iqbal's poem where refer himself as Indian. The people between Indus river and Radcliffe Line who are Pakistanis now were historically called as Indians.

I appreciate your reasoning ,but we have a few minor things which according to you and i think can be resolved easily. I think the time has come for us to concentrate more on the betterment of our people and country, more than who has what weapon and i will have it too!
Pakistan is nowhere the size of India, therefore if it competes , it will only be a drain on your economy trying to measure up to India(When India can do it normally).
"SIZE MATTERS", Germans in WW2 mistook USSR and invaded it,They had excellent Victories but they didn't realize Size matters,When the USSR giant awoke it was only a matter of when it gets pushed back(DEMAND AND SUPPLY)when they got pushed back Germany was divided into two! East and West Germany.
Same thing in 1965 war Pakistan pushed to conquer kashmir but ended up defending lahore, see any stark resemblances between the two scenarios?

It is a detailed account of how partition happened and why it happened. There is no opinion on who is right or who is wrong. Being from BBC, a third party, it is unbaised

There is a bbc documentary about partition, anybody interested should watch it. Also if u want to know about partition read Ishtiaq Ahmed's book to get an unbiased view about what went about and the forces at play
