Its not trolling for peace, India and Pakistan will never reach the status of friendship or even good neighbors given the bitter history between the two but i am a strong proponent of co-operation between the two especially in science, technology and trade. Why deprive millions of people from their bread and butter over border issues? the border issues will exist either way so let it not become a hindrance in co-op.

Look at China and Japan. Or look at UAE and Saudi, the former is being ruled by AL Rashid family driven out of power by the Al-Sauds of Nejd. They have learned to bury their historical differences and yielding great co-operation under GCC.


Since when Japan became a power of some kind whether regional or international?? it doesn't even operate a sizable army.

You look at the size of their economy and the level of industrialization and that they are protected by the USA?

I'm sure the great "future friendship" of India-Pakistan... will get him extradited back to you.

In the same way that Pakistan always extradites ETIM militants back to us.

India needs to get rid of this feeling that Generals make the policy when it comes down to India. It should be of no surprise that while making decisions of this level, the consent is made with the security establishment but that should not be taken as what the article above suggests. Today there is a civilian government in place and they are making and formulating policies. The army is busy dealing with the mess US has created in Afghanistan. Infact Indian generals have been more aggressive and hostile towards Pakistan then their counterpart. The recent statement made by Indian air chief can be looked in this regard.
Trade can solve problems. When India will have economic interests in Pakistan, it will not try to sabotage them directly or indirectly, that is what Pakistan needs to focus on. India should have a stake in Pakistan economic of course. Pakistan should reciprocate by inviting Indian giants to invest in Pakistan.

The army has way more stake than being just an army.I dont think gen kayani listens to or is bothered about Zardari or whoever is in power.The judiciary is more likely to have more weightage than than the civillian government.
