India, Pakistan and the Battle for Afghanistan

Why do you think Pakistan is so afraid of Afghans stable goverment?
Government*

A stable Afghan government is not for Pakistan interest, If Afghanistan is stable,Heading for economic development do you honestly think they will not bring up the durrand issue?

Do you think after Pakistan has displaced nearly a million of my people, That they are happy with Pakistan? Are you aware that most of the tribal people would slap you if you call them a Pakistani?

Look sir, to be frank with you, I am for peace for both Pak-Afg, I have nothing to benefit from those countries.

Like I said before, I am an American, All I ask for is my people to be happy and not treated bad, so far in Pakistan, they have been receiving 2nd class status. When you actually visit Pakistan, you will realize what I mean, Pakistan is doing nothing to preserve our rich culture and language.

I am in favor of India because at least they care about our development and you can tell from this board alone, The attitude is far more different.

Hmmm really curious view on things, nice to see the other side of the coin for once

The fear is not so of durrand line or issues, more so based on being cornered. That is why Pakistanies considered Afgan Talibans as friendly then, more so, of Pakistanie ones. There lies the Paradox of the situation of Nato, Real Afgans, and Indian issues.. It is afterall has become a battle for 8 years with no resolution in site because of Pakistans such perceptions.

The only solutions is Afgans like you stepping up, but sadly there are not numerous like you such people. There are basic problems like forming a gov't, which your people cannot do and setting up basic civil needs. There has to be a dedication of people like such as yourself to proclaim your country back, or this will go on forever in your land.

Thanks.

We have an excessive amount of educated people, But they are all scared of war-lords that will kill them if they do not meet their desires and expectations. I really don't want to get ethical and philosophical with this matter, but to simplify things, It all comes down to personal interest. There are Afghans who have made billions of the mess that is in Afg-Pak. And there are ****'s who have made billions out the mess already.

You see now, if we use the modern day Afghan definition, I doubt Id even fall under it, I am born, raised, educated in the U.S.A along with nearly 300,000 other people of my ethnic group.

Ever since Pakistan's inceptions things have went salty, some people have went as far as considering Pakistan an international migraine.

With all due respect, I have nothing against Pakistan,Afghanistan or India. I think I have made my points quite clear, I am all for peace and against discrimination and torture. It hurts me, when I see an innocent human facing exoneration and quite frankly in Pakistan it happens a lot. You can't walk a block in Karachi without paying bribes. I find it amusing how people try to paint a colorful image here, Its obvious to me they have not visited the country in years.

Again all this is like news to me, im addicted to this thread now lol Don’t stop posting :P

I am sure both Pakistan and India would like a taste of the Geological reserves Afghanistan has to offer, According to President Karzai, Afghanistan is sitting on several Trillion dollars of Geological reserves. But to me, Its about which country can do it in an appropriate manner, so far, India is winning public trust of the people. While Pakistan is getting salty about it. I cant lie, Afghans adore Indians in Afghanistan, They favor their movies,Culture and hard-work and contributions in Afghanistan.

Afghans(Pashtuns) have ruled several parts of India, and yet India still is one of the highest donors of Afghanistan. That proves a lot, To give aid to a country that once ruled parts of India is considered respect by many Afghans. Recently, India granted citizenship to several thousand Afghans, Most importantly, Nearly 10-30million Indian Pashtuns reside in India according estimates by various sources. You can tell from the Indian film industry that Afghans(Pashtuns/Pathans) are highly respected in India

If I am not mistaking, The Indian cricket team alone has 3 or 4 Pashtuns/Pathans(Afghans).

In fact, according to Encyclopædia Britannica, the number of Pashtuns in all of India was nearly 31 million, but the speakers of Pashto numbered less than 14 million

Like I said before, I am all for truth and peace.

But dont you think the humanitarian efforts being run by both countries is also beneficial ? And the decline of the Taliban was good ? i think its more of a win-loss situation. Afghanistan gains a bit from the presence of foreign countries and also loses a bit. The initiatives being taken by India, Pakistan and the US must benefit the Afghans in some way right ? What do you think ?

We are thankful to whoever that help us. But can never forget those who hurt us.

I know you're going to like this...

Its funny how Pakistanis think they can roll back to pre 9/11 policies. Pakistan will take on the Afghan Taliban whether they like it or not, you can keep dreaming about unleashing the Taliban on Kabul once the US leaves, but pipe dreams will remain as such.

British troops will have to stay in Afghanistan for another five years, warns head of the armed forces

British troops will have to stay in Afghanistan for another five years, the head of the armed forces, Air Chief Marshal Sir Jock Stirrup, warned yesterday.

He said no one should expect a rapid handover to Afghan troops.

The US commander General Stanley McChrystal is predicting it will take until 2013 before US and British troops can pull back.

But Sir Jock said: "I'd say about 2014."

His warning came as a ComRes poll for the BBC1 Politics Show found that 64% of the public felt the war was unwinnable.

Sir Jock told The Andrew Marr Show on BBC1: "I do think it is incredibly important that we do better at describing to people the success that we are having.

"What we see is the downside and it is a very, very painful downside - tragic losses, people injured and having to deal with a complete change in their life. But the people on the ground will tell you that they are making real progress. It is painful, it is slow, it is halting, but it is in the right direction."

Shadow foreign secretary William Hague said: "This level of public dissatisfaction is not a very good basis on which to fight a war.

"We have to do much better - and much better in terms of actual military success and showing that progress is being made."

In the meantime, of course, the ANA will be strengthened to resist Pakistani acts of sedition. India has its own options for fighting via proxy, we'll see where Pakistan stands in five years.

sorry, i don't care how many links you provide me, the point is you can't beat us at our game! We will make a living hell for you indians in Afghanistan, as you have just witnessed what happened recently;)

If you cannot give logical arguments please dont troll. This line is repeated again and again by mr.Hamid and it only prove how much of any idiot he is.

lol, who's trolling? Are my words that bitter that you term them as trolling? They're completely logical!

Its a fact that the only relation between india and Afghanistan is that you indians were defeated by Afghan warlords on multiple occasions! But i don't really care if you are in denial!

And if you didn't know, Mr.Hamid spoke the truth about the battle of Pani Pat, it really did take place, you can search it up!

Sorry i do not believe in conspiracy theories and pointless patriotism. I believe in hard facts and working for the betterment of society. None of which are on the agenda of Mr.Hamid.

So you mean to tell me that its better for Pakistan and society if we allow india into Afghanistan? the same india that funded terrorist organization in East Pakistan and then crossed international border and broke our nation in 2 pieces?

lol, yeah right, your not fooling us!

If BS comes out of anyones mouth its your choice not to listen to it.

The same applies to you regarding Mr.Hamid, after all you brought up the subject about Mr.Hamid, not me!

Let the indians and northern alliance afghanis (and those who are pretending to be afghanis behind the computer) have their honeymoon.

ISI will not let india stay in afghanistan, one way or another indians will be kicked out of afghanistan for good. :sniper:

lol, you know what's funny? These indians think they can stay in Afghanistan!

I would love it if india invests billions more into Afghanistan and the corrupt Karzai regime, when the right time comes we can make Afghanistan a hell hole for indians and all their $$ will go to hell with them!:yahoo:

like i said, indians can't beat us at our own game!

There is a famous quote by the American General Dwight D. Eisenhower:

"Never let the enemy chose the battlefield", and clearly the indians are challenging us in our own battlefield, our own game, and no one can beat us at our own game!
