Master of BS, reminds me of Hitler's henchmen denying that Berlin would fall. This is the biggest disaster for India since Kargil and India is in a more perilous position then it has ever been. They have p!ssed off Iran, they have p!ssed off Uncle Sam , they have p!ssed off Russia and only Bhutan is their friend.oh man these guys are so full of themselves ... sheesh small penis syndrome
Quad is not a defense treaty yet. It was kind of progressing to that direction. Is the quad a treaty? Any defense treaty must be signed by the senate and house of representatives. Only Congress has been authorized by the constitution to wage war on behalf of the American people. I don't understand why The Indians believe that the American Military will come to their aid in their fight against China and Pakistan. It is going to be highly unlikely no matter how many QUADs are promised.

India never expected US military to directly provide men and material in fight against China or Pak.
Any future expectation India might have has now reduced seeing American betrayal of its allies recently.

India does not need anyone's permission to defend its sovereignty. American help (as part of Quad) was perceived to be needed on the seas rather than on the land disputes.Well, then why is it even brought up? Does Rajnikant need the quad's permission to defend Indian sovereignty against the Chinese? And to your last comment, it might be irrelevant to you but this guy thinks it very relevant.
Unfortunately, it is always presented as a defense pact by the Indians. I have never heard it on the American news channels. Multiple Indian dignitaries present the Quad as a bulwark against china but it is meant to be a "defense understanding". It is extremely loose terminology and has no real authority unless it is sanctioned by Congress.
The Japanese and the Australians have no intentions of fighting American's war against china on their soil. If India as part of the QUAD supposed to protect the shipping lanes in the Indian ocean for the QUAD then India has sold its services for cents..
Are you living in America by chance?
Yours is a clickbait comment. I will be concise in answering that India is not and will not ever be anyone's servant.India is now more resolved to be a better servant of the west. Believing that Afghanistan must not be a faithful enough servant to the white masters. Indians have determined that it will not fail in it’s servitude and suffer their abandonment from their masters. It’s the most loyal slave as it’s directly created by the west.

India has not sold anything. Till now, Quad has been majorly about maritime exercises among the 4 nations. This part India would likely be happy to continue as it helps Indian navy to learn from other nations' navies.
Yes, living in America. Why?

agreed. usa will now have to bend over backwards and prove to its allies that it is willing to make the supreme sacrifice of thousands of american lives without thinking twice just to keep its allies happy...something that is unacceptable to the american public.Quad has lost its relevance as its leading power USA has time and again bailed when its allies need help.
Be it Kurds or Afghans, USA has run away leading them to fend for themselves.
You are assuming a lot of things.Your understanding of QUAD is different from the understanding of Indians at large. As I said, it is perceived to be a defensive strategy in India by the authorities in India. America's "help" entails what? Intel, Logistics, RND, or actual Intervention? The issue is that these Sea disputes will involve what? If India is the pivot, then naturally India will likely do most of the heavy lifting. Anyways, from your comment, it seems like QUAD is a naval exercise and India is in it to learn tactics from the other 3 nations. Then why do the politicians in India hype up the QUAD so much?
My living in USA currently does not influence my viewpoint. I am ambivalent on carving a Kurdish nation. Doing that would destabalize 3-4 stable nations, so I do not think that would be feasible. At best, more autonomy for Kurdish areas within each soverign state would be desirable. At the very least, US should have stopped Turkish attacks on Syrian Kurds.I was wondering if you're living in the United States because it is very clear why America "abandoned" the Kurds and the previous Afghan government. I'm assuming you support a Kurdish "nation" carved out of 3-4 sovereign and previously stable Nations. I hope you know ethnic Kurds are part of Turkey, Iran, Iraq, and Syria. The Kurds are asking for a separate nation so how would the United States achieve that and how would the other countries react. I mean, if you're in support of the Kurdish struggle, then surely you support the Kashmiri struggle. Why be so duplicitous in your thinking?
I believe Afghans always wanted to be left alone. First British meddled in their affairs and created the Durand line separating Pashtun lands. They created the great game and used Afghanistan as a buffer state against Russia. Later Russia tried to install its own puppet regime in Afghanistan and so on.Indian's beloved Afghans are not loyal to anyone as seen in history that is spanned over millennia. Time and time again local Afghans betray the previous power for another stronger authority. Examples include the British, the Soviets, and now the United States. America spent more than 1 trillion dollars on this war. Sent the officer corps to be trained in India, provided Air support and equipment, and still people like you think that Afghanistan was abandoned? The same Afghans that were with the united states have now joined the ranks of the Taliban because the leaders were not paying their salary..
Living in the US for job does not mean I need to tow the US establishment. I do not believe US should militarily meddle in other countries. For example, Iraq and Syrian intervention (against Saddam and Assad) was a folly. Similarly, its support to Saudi intervention in Yemen is a folly. In Afghanistan, they should have sought UN support after toppling Taliban govt. However, once they have entered, they should not leave in haphazard fashion like they did now in Afghanistan.Either way, it's unfortunate you live in the United States but do not support what is ultimately best for the United States. Which is not meddling in the fairs of other nations and spending blood and treasure on its own citizens. The founding fathers did not intend for the United States to become an Imperial power and actively sought neutrality.

I don't know if you're a citizen or not. But I would hope that the United States is not bogged down by nation-building. If you support nation-building then I'd Imagine you're for building up the United States because the country is seriously lagging when compared to other first-world nations. Either way, it's unfortunate you live in the United States but do not support what is ultimately best for the United States.
