we should not be content to merely ask the brave soldiers of the Indian Army to sacrifice their lives to save these people.

we should, indeed, ask why do these villages not have the infrastructure to resist the flood?

it is common knowledge that most of the budget allocated to rural infrastructure is stolen by corrupt politicians, so when natural disasters come, many people will die due to being unprotected from nature.

You mean there are no casualties due to floods in China ? What kind infrastructure can resist the floods?

My thoughts are with those people suffering from these extraordinary conditions. It must be heart breaking for families to lose everything they have ever had, in some cases their loved ones too. Terrible for all and lets all have a prayer that they get through this.
