Mob lynching 70 years olds, suggesting rapes to be used as a means to subdue a population, segregating patients on the basis of religion, denying healthcare to pregnant women because of her beliefs, killing Muslims and lower caste dalits on suspected beef eating, killing young people while asking them to chant jai hind and jai shiri ram.. all in the presence and under the protection of police and other security forces.

And now this.. beating vulnerable patients and pushing them across the border..

BGB on alert as BSF fires rubber bullets at Burimari border

Three people, including a member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) were injured today as Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel fired rubber bullets at zero point of Burimari land port in Lalmonirhat's Patgram upazila.

Both border forces are on high alert and have been relocating locals to safety after the incident took place around 5:30pm, said Omar Faruk, commander of the Burimari BGB camp.

BSF members of Changrabandha camp in Koch Bihar fired the rubber bullets at the Bangladesh side targeting a mentally challenged man who has been staying at the no man's land at the border for last two days, the BGB official said.

It was yet to be determined whether the man is from India or Bangladesh, Omar Faruk said, adding that two locals -- Alif Islam and Firoza Bewa --and a BGB member named Khokon Islam sustained injuries while trying to flee to safety when the incident took place.

"BSF members fired at us without provocation, and if they do so again then we will also retaliate," the BGB camp commander said.

The mentally challenged man was still at the zero line of the border and BSF members may fire rubber pellets targeting him again, Omar Faruk added.

Although I understand the reason why people are saying this, it is a very very bad idea.
Arming the general population never turns out well.

What is required is for BGB to become like the old BDR and we have seen an instance of this last year with a BGB trooper shooting dead a BSF thug.

AL needs to toughen up a bit and hit the Sanghis where it hurts. Hinduvtas are on the run anyway with their oppression of Muslims and so BD has more leeway to deal with these BSF thugs.

Everyday at least 4-5 mentally unstable psychiatric patients are being forcefully pushed inside Bangladesh by Indian BSF. This incidence is now happening for several days along the border areas in Bhurungamari Upazila of Kurigram district. Local residents complaints that, BSF collect those psychiatric patients inside India and force them to intrude into Bangladesh by beating them up along the border points where BGB patrol is absent. Locals are worried that those psychiatric patients could act as a carrier of Corona virus.
