Brother, Well said !! Here , This is whats GOI's thought about China.
In military terms, both conventional and non-conventional, we neither have the capability nor the intention to match China force for force," said Admiral Sureesh Mehta.
For a nuclear-armed military representing the interests of a billion-plus people, the lack of confidence is quite striking. India's military leadership has made a stunning confession that New Delhi doesn't have the stomach for a fight, if push came to shove on the disputed Sino-Indian boundary.
"Whether in terms of GDP, defence spend or any other parameter, the gap between the two is too wide to bridge and is getting wider by the day," he said.
Is Mehta expressing frustration at the slow pace of India's military modernisation? While India spends about $30 billion annually on defence, China spends at least thrice as much, although some estimates go up to $ 200 billion.
Its military is twice as large as India and its nuclear arsenal far well proven.
India can't match China's military force: Navy Chief
A former head of the World Bank (or it might have been the IMF) recently said that China and India would, before 2050, overtake the G7 in terms of GDP. And many can see that China and India will be the next world superpowers. We are developing and growing at a fantastic rate.
There are basic, fundamental differences between India and China, in terms of Government (Democracy vs. Socialist), Ideology, and Economy (China is gearing itself towards industry, whereas India is going more toward the service sector).
Both China and India are heavily armed, and updating their militaries. Both are nucleur armed nations. Both are increasing their spending on the armed forces. China has the largest military in the world, and India has the 4th largest.
These issues would cause another cold war, like what was experienced between the USA and the USSR. HOWEVER, unlike the US and USSR, there is no ocean seperating China and India. Instead we share a border! The USA and the USSR had different spheres of influence during the Cold War. The US had South America and Western Europe, and the USSR had Asia and Eastern Europe. They STILL came very, very close to war. India and China do NOT have seperate spheres of influence. We are right next to each other. We are competing for essentially the same markets. Furthermore, we have a hisory of conflict.
So what if a war between us starting tomorrow...
If India is the aggressor, then it will mean huge loses to Indian defense and will not survive for long as China with its military supremacy will easily withstand any Indian aggression
If china is the aggressor, though China will face huge casualty they will be able to capture a few stratigic points near eastern India and Kashmir. However, I doubt they will be able to root into deep India as their communication at those level will become to weak and irrational to advance. Therefore, in conclusion they will gain some land however this will only happen at a huge cost to them as India with tactical retreat will dig themselves at higher altitude.
If both play sorties and artillery with eachother, then both will probably lose equal ground and suffer similar casualty. However, if Missiles are used, because of superior missiles and tight air defense China may case lethal damage to India.
Therefore, at present if India and China gets into war without anyones intervention India may have to face serious losses.
I am just a rational Indian and not a Pakistani who hype their power when compared to us. India is a strong, secular and growing state and is for the future.
Now why should we think of a war....
India Pakistan and China should come together
Believe me this will be a nightmare for WEST
..they want us to be divided and keep fighting. But we Asians should understand each other and leave the differences behind.
For example see the co operation between Britain & US, they fight as a single force. Similar to this if China & India joins hand then in Asia also we can see Win Win situation. All the countries in South Asia will also benefited by this.
i would say that it has been almost 7 centuries, the westerners have dominated,TRUE and the time is coming for the asians to do the same.what worries me that they may spoil it all by building tensions between them. from the case of US and UK,it is clear that the westerners tend to join hands in difficult situations and according to situations while asians will harbour their internal conflict and take help from outside to beat each other, rather they should come closer and form such a economic zone that the world depends on them rather than vice versa. the ploy of westerners of divide and rule has worked effectively in ASIA as well.most of the nations in the west dont like to see asians prospering. there have been numerous examples in the past.i think CHINA can really work as BIG BROTHER well enough to bring asia together. also INDIA should fuel this cause for the dream come true. but all this can only go beyond only when INDIA CHINA join hands
