India must plan for war with China, Pak: US report

Americans always come up with these kind of reports. Their only motive is to promote their industries so their defence contractors get more and more. They do this even within their own army. They will give presentations about how "weak" they are, and how they need more and more. Just to make the establishment assign more funds and give out more contracts.

I dont think there will be any full scale war with China. For the last 20 years, we havent had any armed conflicts as such.

When it comes to Pakistan, even there I dont think there will be any full scale war.

So this report is mere conjecture and fluff in my opinion. IF there is any conflict it will be a minor conflict that will be stopped after a few days. Thats the max that will happen. India and China are looking for economic growth so am sure both will do everything in their power to avert war.

Sounds like everyone here wants India to be dominate by China instead of safeguarding itself. Several Indians also joining the chorus. India must achieve peace through strength. Until India is self sufficient with weapons, it must import from the US.

lol..we are buying weapons since '50s from various source and we'll buy.so,why are you saying "it must import from the US"???unlike some,we can buy from anywhere..USA holds a nominal percentage of our import and we started import from usa very recently.most of our weapons are from Russian,Israeli or french origin.

China's actions have caused this, not the US. Actions speak louder than words. China does not attempt to make peace with its neighbors, unless it is in their best interest. I dont see the reason to blame the US? Why? Russia hasn;t been supplying us with their best options, when we can all clearly see that China was getting more attention. The relationship between China/Russia versus India/Russia is not on par. Admit that, acknowledge that and move on. India started looking into different weapon suppliers due to this FACT. Im not saying that Russia didnt help and wasnt a geat friend but times have changed, geopolitics has changed. Russia and China quite frankly see the US as more of a threat and their relationship at least prior when it came to weapon platforms was superior than India;s.

If you want junky, get them from Russians, and they will surely screw u over, as currently happening now. If u want overprice, good quality old tech, get it from Europeans. Israel sells only with US consent. But if u want the cutting edge stuff, then only US can supply.

I agree that India must become self sufficient and safeguard itself from any threat. But this goes for any country. But the more important goal is to become SELF-RELIANT.

India should cut imports and try developing our own weapons. This is the problem we have been having since the 60s with the United States. They love to sell, but never share. Why not establish a more pro-west India, by transferring technology, so we can both be cooperative with the west as well as self reliant?
