Pakistan has a few advantages -

1. It's size. It has a much smaller land area to defend. This makes defence that much easier.

2. Battle readiness - Pak troops have been fighting guerilla forces of Taliban. Chinese military has been harassing Buddhist monks in Tibet and sending citizens in Xinjiang to internment camps

3. Education: A lot of top Pak troops have received war education in the US in some of the top military colleges in the world.

All this adds up.

INDIA - if you can't get out of a situation - then its best to go further in!

Indians have no choice but to start a full-on assault on Chinese front lines and push them back or receive further incremental loses over the coming years.

Almost impossible for a nation like India who cannot compete with China in the Military or Olympic Games would suddenly be able to find financial or human resources to compete militarily in a real war.

The army is a trained organization of the state just like the Olympic teams. The Indian military is most likely just as bad as its Olympic teams because it is trained by the same Indian state.

that's funny coming from an indian, china is regularly top 2-3 in the olympics. china has won more golds in a single type of sport in one olympic than india has golds from every olympics ever.
