Actually, there have been significant advancements in development in Kashmir and the border regions.

In the past, local parties would enjoy the funds they received from the government, while the local population lacked access to the infrastructure it so much needed.

There are numerous and convincing indications that it is helping Kashmir's people develop.

very good overall but, Kashmiris themselves are appreciative of it all.. Indian forces have also been involved in a massive outreach program and been helping the people with every aspect of living, from security to infra to food rations. A lot of Kashmiris are very grateful to/for the Army.

like anything else, this is not an entirely black and white issue.
