The defense deal regarding the S400 defense system is valued at an estimated $4.5 billion. It was discussed in the Indian parliament recently by the Indian Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar with no indication of a possible delay in procurement. He was clear in his reply to an Indian parliamentarian saying,

the five firing units of S400 LRSAM system are planned for induction in Indian Air Force in 13th plan period (2017-2022).

So on one hand, we have India defense minister, declaring to Indian parliament, that 5 S400 units will arrive between 2017 and 2022.

On the other hand, we have an 'anonymous Indian source' leaking this news to an online blog.

Bummer, whom to believe ?

Not everyone is impressed that India will get S-400 battalions,so such misleading articles are bound to be published.

You don't learn about your enemy from your enemy's own mouth. Weather India is getting them 2 years or 22 years down the road, you got to develop a counter response before your enemy has a response. If I were you, I wouldn't clap that Indian procurement plans are delayed.

Well...HQ-9 can be our best bet.
I am still not sure about HQ-9's procurement..how many batteries can arrive and after how many years.

Best bet it to open eyes and see your enemy before you have to bare your enemy. More than military, country's leadership needs to build a response. Not HQ-9 but a sensible, functional and patriotic PM is your best bet.
