$5 billion is just from the US government. Non- government 'charity' sources give around $3billion, I think the Germans give $1billion. $8billion?

India couldn't use water from 3 western rivers, what was it going to do with it? Irrigate mountains? While Pakistan leaders back then sold 3 eastern rivers and now these mostly receive water in summer. India also funded anti-Kalabagh dam lobby.

Pakistan should have negotiated fair share of water from eastern rivers. India knows they got great deal in IWT. Now they are just going to play around water from western rivers by building dams and releasing when they want it. Water war will be another low and Pakistan should have all options on table to deal with it.

By all means then we should dissolve IWT, since neither of us is happy with it and follow the international protocol on water sharing.

IWT was singed by pacifist Nehru as he gave away 81% of water flowing in Indus waters system to Pakistan.
As 3 rivers allotted to Pakistan have much more water flow than 3 rivers allotted to India.
