NATO can give an excuse that there is lots of Investment in India by NATO and its allies.
To protect it against rough state like North Korea and Iran "NATO missile system will be deployed."


The NORAD missile shield works primarily via satellite imaging.Missiles are detected by the telltale launch flashes and batteries are activated accordingly to attain a lock on them and shoot them down.For now,India's ABM technology is limited to AWACs and ground sensing radars that can deliver proximity kills and not direct interception like what the United States currently runs.This is why technology sharing will be shot in the arm of our ABM shields.

The relationship scales between Moscow and Europe have always been strained and wildly fluctuating.They would have reservations on the same.On the other case,We never did or never will pose a threat to them.I did not hear any wild disapproval from Russia when the US offered the Patriot ABM system to us.Why would they protest now?

Russia does not come here as it could be against other threats. There is not friendship and ally in international relationship. All are friends of India whether it is US or Russia, Israel or Iran.

Our armed forces have but we are trying to replace Russian systems. There are many allegations of spare unavailability of Russian systems. It is business. Just like Russia sells arms to China and Pakistan.

i am want to know as everybody knows that currently india is working on its local missile defence system and according to poster here as well as others that we are progressing well then should we go for missile defence system from west as we know from past that west has offered its technology only when they came to that we are advancing pretty good on that field so as to ruin the chances of learning/gaining experince . would importing technology such have and negative effect on currently developing local missile system?

We have a good missile development program in place and the scientist are doing good. but if we go for this Global Missile shield, the R&D of our local inistitutions will be affected and the money will send to the NATO.

If you agree on deploying a Missile Shield that NATO offers then, that Hypersonic program will be scraped and Russia will develop it on its own or probably invite Pakistan to join its team.
