I know that ...but to expect a Straight & upright tail is also foolishness ......Similar Expecting a total corruption free country is a fool's dream .....

Things can always be improved & changed for better.........Not Doing anything is not going to take you anywhere better .........So its worth trying & failing then, not to try at all

Although I am not sure what the parameters for the poll were, but the large volume of such transactions in India probably makes up for the lower percentage of the above figures.

In the 3rd World, most people do not even bother reporting corruption at the lower level, because paying bribe just to handle the electricity or phone bill has become a norm.

Lastly, people in the 3rd World typically consider the level of corruption within their own country to be the worst and report it as such in the hopes that some remediation would take place. This perception issue is a significant factor in corruption coming across worse than it really is in reality.

i didn't get what ur implying ....

the percentage numbers implies tht if 10 ppl were questioned in Each country,

1.8( rounding it off 2) ppl would have had said yes to improper payments

2.2 (2) ppl would have said yeas gift giving and receiving. and

7.5 (7) ppl would agree with the 3rd criteria.

Now since it spans over 700 thousand ppl the margin of error is reasonably low ... this in no way or form is accurate ,but rather just a comparative study.

This could very well be influenced by cynics and pessimists ,the only reason im aghast and shocked with this survey is cus i consider Indians to be the biggest Cynics on the planet when talking to each other.
