Mukherjee expresses gratitude for Pakistan`s cooperation in rescue operation

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri held a telephone conversation with Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and exchanged views about the latest development in the bilateral relations.
Indian External Affairs Minister during telephonic talks appreciated the cooperation extended by the Pakistani authorities in aerial and ground based rescue operation following the crash of an Indian helicopter in Siachen on the morning of 11th April in which two pilots suffered fatal injuries.

Both the Foreign Ministers expressed their commitment to the improvement of relations between the two countries and agreed to remain in touch in this connection.

Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri telephoned Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee for inquiring about his health after the recent road accident in which he was injured.

Pranab Mukherjee thanked Foreign Minister Kasuri and informed him that he has fully recovered.

That was indeed a very commendable thing done by Pakistani Army, helping in the rescue operation in the chopper crash. The bodies have been recovered.

Pak Army also has rescue missions under UN in different countries more than any Other country.
Pak Army is on top working in UN rescue missions.
