The Indian Ministry of Defence has issued a request for information (RFI) as part of a process to acquire medium-range anti-ship missiles, and associated launching systems, for use onboard the Indian Navy’s surface vessels.

The RFI indicates that the country intends to procure 24 units of the missile firing systems, including associated fire control radars and supporting devices, which will be fitted onboard vessels that have not been specified. Also to be acquired are 40 practice, 10 training, six dummy, and four cut section units of the anti-ship missile, in addition to approximately 270 live rounds.
