India Isn't the Next China

Now I see why India doesn't seem to grow if you travel to India. India's growth only concentrates in a couple of industries where only the already well to do wealthy people benefit, while China's growth is comprehensively all across the board in every sector which helps every person and every place.

India has become a super power.

While Asians are generally stereotyped as hard working people(there is some truth to it), there is generally a lot of cultural differences between us which makes us being next China impossible. We will have to forge our own way to glory :P

East Asians or Asians in general including the Middle East and South Asia?

India is a curse to South Asia.

India most likely is not next China. China not only had better leadership but also more skilled and determined citizens. This doesn't mean India is not progressing or the benefits are limited to few. Who knows what future holds.
Even in a case where average income of a household has not increased, quality of life has improved. A poor family now gets more subsidized food, education with free books, uniform, meal at school, better healthcare etc.
Indians in general admire China's rise but hate its support to arch rival Pakistan and terrorists like azhar masood.

China was poor 30 years ago and suffered 100 years humiliation, still a long way to go, not time for complacency.

India, for her whole history, has been esoteric. Knowledge was hordes between the classes and that still happens. So no, we cannot have an even, comphrensive growth. India's economy is the size of China's 15 years ago but India doesn't look like China from 15 years ago. This is because wealth isn't spread.
