India is not a country of rapists: German Ambassador to India Michael Steiner

Well i tend to pass his points than himself as in India there is lots of Idol worshiping which gets misused.

I do not mind giving credit where it is due. It was his tireless efforts for decades together that helped create this awareness. Should not undermine him. I do not have to agree with all his points, but he is an intellectual giant and that is good enough.

. .
Are you advocating rape in Australia and Sri Lanka ?

@waz @Manticore @Horus @Oscar @WebMaster

Is fetish for atrocity literature a call for rape? Hmm. Let me help you with simple English. It just means fulfill your fetish for rape literature by reading up on rapes happening in Sri Lanka and Australia or better still, get treated.

The logic what BBC gives , ''' India will lead fight against sexual violence''' is also RIP. This is what that producer said .. right?

Mate we are barbaric people so west should invade than educate us under christian law :)

I think he mean don;t score brownie point on serious topic and go post about rapes in Sri Lanka and Australia so create social awareness.

And where had i discussed rape in my posts ? Or scored brownie points on it ? Can you highlight them ? This is an international forum better remember that, No poster has the right to dictate what or where they can post as long as it's subject matter

By dragging in Australia and Sri Lanka unnecessarily and more specifically of alleged rapes in those countries.. He is indeed advocating it

india is not rapist country but few BAD apples are everywhere such as @GURU DUTT @ranjeet @Screambowl @Bang Galore and @45'22'

He is saying to you go call BBC and ask them to make a documentary about "Rapes in Sri Lanka or Australia " to create social awareness in both of those respected countries.

Or are you saying those two are rape free country?

Again, Thats not his place.. Nor is yours to dictate who posts on what threads.. Keep that in mind..Stick to discussing the subject matter of the thread.. There is absolutely no need to drag in alleged rapes in Australia or Sri Lanka,That is openly espousing rape in third countries clearly outside the discussion.. And he does'nt mention the BBC..

Or are you saying those two are rape free country?

Do not derail the thread

Nope it is not my place to dictate to you but when you do it them expect the answer and you can't stop it either but when someone try to portray "rape" is Indian problem then i tend to open their eyes to harsh reality.

Do not derail the thread

I am not derailing the thread and topic is rape and i am talking about it unless Rape is somehow only happen in India then it's derailing the topic.

Stick to the subject matter.. Do not derail the thread by unnecessarily dragging in third parties.. The topic is not rape.. The topic is the consequences of an documentary about rape

Britain has more rape so British people can't report rape in India.
Does this sounds correct to you?

It is wrong when they start portraying 'rapes' as merely an 'Indian' problem - with titles such as "India's Daughter".

Rapes are a global problem and a blot on human beings. As an Indian, I consider even one rape as one too many in our country. But if a Britisher is going to point fingers at India, it is only natural for others to remind her that it is an even bigger problem in Britain than India according to all available statistics.

That's we are all trying to say.

I don't necessarily disagree.

But why then, is the Western/International media only focusing on India for this issue lately?

I read the international news every day after reading my local news, they seem to have a fetish for social problems in India, especially this issue.

They have a script for all non-western countries:

India: rape, aid, and poverty
China: pollution, big brother, and communism
Middle East: terrorism, and sharia

When something good is happening in these regions, like our renewed growth, they fight it with their dirty tricks.
