What's new

India is in position that allow it not to engage with Pakistan as compulsion: pakistan media

Debatable, and more when the commentator has already said that you are again putting all egg in the same basket.

Eggs go off after a while, Sino/Pak relations have been going on a great deal longer. There are too many favourable variables for both countries to let the relationship slip. It's not and never will be the same as the US/PAK relationship.

post kargil talks happened(remember the red carpet to Musharaf?) because of USA pressure..
many talks are facilitated by them, secretly.

Ha, the US does a great deal secretly, and will continue to do so. But it's something we will only find out about later.

Who is this gentleman?

The elder gentleman on the left is Ezaj Ahmed ; a columnist and who writes on Geo political matters

The other guy looks like Moeed Yusuf who writes in Dawn ( I can be wrong )

But One is definitely Ezaj Ahmed

I was merely implying that most talks came due to pressure from USA.... and sometimes even russia.

Today USA is in no position to ask India to talk to Pakistan
simply because Man Mohan Singh tried his LEVEL best to appease Pakistan
and failed

Secondly USA is much wiser now regarding Pakistan's duplicity

Their OWN leaders say that in Congress

When USA does not trust Pakistan ; how can it ask India to do so
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Russia is a nobody as far as South Asia is concerned
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GDP does matter ; along with that many other things such as FDI ; Your Foreign trade
External debt

All these things decide which country is an attractive economic partner
and which is a basket case

.
And not to forget the perception change about India due to the Indians settled or working abroad.

. . .
Sorry to burst your bubble, but i must say it bluntly that it is just your dream and wishful thinking that india will have to engage with pakistan for entry into NSG.

You are nothing as far NSG membership is concerned, and india will never consult with pakistan, so my suggestion is you dont keep waiting on it. So dont flatter yourself dear.
thanks for awakning me from the very deep sleep of self-illusion otherwise i would have gone mad in the patriotism of my country.
but the reality is that Sushma swaraj had to say that "we dont have any objection on the membership of pak and we are ready to involve pak on this issue" after the failed covert tour of China by your authorities. but it does not mean that i am nagating the importance of gdp although i know gdp accrues so much power to you on negotiating table of international table

GDP or say economy may not be the only criteria but it is the most important factor.
The gentlemen in the video did not exactly define the parameter on what his assumption was based upon
But my assumption is the differential they are talking about which is keep widening is the economy and the chart I posted above clearly illustrate that.

as far as NSG is concerned It will come to us sooner than later.
i agree with your first line of argument and to some extent with your assertion made in last line. yeah India will get NSG membership sooner or later but this time frame is vague in that because until and unless u givand take with pak u r not going anywhere because whether you accept or not even in this situation pak has some clout or say mutual interests which led pak to launch lobbying for preventing this membership. if u have got that membership then the argument in pak establishment is that u would not allow pak to enter there sooner or later.

@Desist @Crixus @waz @neem456 @hassan zohaib

another brilliant argument by the same gentlemen on the same topic

your views

To be honest. It is these kinds of Pakistanis that are troublesome.

Their Army fed on Arab conquest and jihad...is a joke. Neither they, nor their pet jihadis are any real cause of worry (of the strategic kind). It is these kinds of people who have the potential to challenge us.

you mean those people having rational thinking

you will find many of those kind in their armed forces as well, I can quote you some if you need to

but yes you are right

In the above video telecasted yesterday The two gentlemen argue that First time in the history of India-Pakistan, India is in position that allow it not to engage with Pakistan as compulsion because of the widening differential between the two countries.

But otoh pakistan has no other option but to engage with India as the differential is keep widening.

What these gentlemen are saying can be accurately illustrated with the chart.

actually these figures don't matter in pakistan's case. pakistan is sitting on the world greatest treasures. oil, minerals, copper. you just name it. this gap would certainly be fulfilled as soon as the peace is achieved.

. .
Pakistan's foreign policy especially towards India is slowly but surely being hijacked by the DeP (Difa e Pakistan) a conglomeration of 42 militant groups/terrorists organizations headed by terror masterminds like Salauddin, Hafiz Saeed, Masood Azhar and the head honcho of Pakistan's JeI. These 'good' terrorists have started running riot and dictating policies related to India and Afghanistan.

That clown Salauddin even threatened nuking India to get Kashmir by waging an all out war!! This must be taken seriously because if a nuke device happens to fall into their hands, it's going to be curtains for Pakistan. But then these yahoos are 'strategic assets' of the PA and thus will be allowed to thrive. But this molly coddling of 'good' terrorists is going to create a huge blow-back to Pakistan in times to come.

Pakistan has also officially mentioned that they are ready to help the so called 'victims of police atrocities' in Kashmir!!! Lol!! :laughcry:Are these guys for real? :cuckoo:

well one of your own friend said that we won't sit on table then nuking india is the only option left because you don't want peace. and on pakistan being nuked too, we don't care about dying if our enemy is killed too.
