India is in position that allow it not to engage with Pakistan as compulsion: pakistan media

There is a great deal of merit in this argument.

There is a thing called economic prosperity ... many members here hate to accept the reality, although India may not be on par with china.. definitely we move ahead... I hope pak look forward towards Economical goals than military objectives.. one CPEC is not enough, you need diversified project like that...

. .
the compulsion came from USA, pakistan's ex-ally. Now their relationship being not so great, we dont face much international pressure. China is still punching below her weight, but it can change in future.

China is already punching above its weight, and it would never pull enough weight on India to have same compelling power as that of USA.

.
Pakistan is isolated and in weak situation. India will not come to table, unless there is something in Pakistan that interests India. If Pakistanis feel that they can bring India to table by making noise, they are in for a big disappointment.

Pakistan's ex-ally? Since when. About 20 years ago strategists termed it a marriage of love and hate. That's what it is.

This is exactly what I think and this is what the gentlemen in the video are talking.
What we need is to focus on our economy and as the time passes they will become irrelevant to us and to world

Nations of 200 million don't become irrelevant, and being saddled in one of the most strategic parts of the worlds, lends further wait to my statement. I do agree that the gap is widening, but it only takes a few things to turn Pakistan around. Do remember it led Asia back in the 50's and early 60's.

.

In the above video telecasted yesterday The two gentlemen argue that First time in the history of India-Pakistan, India is in position that allow it not to engage with Pakistan as compulsion because of the widening differential between the two countries.

But otoh pakistan has no other option but to engage with India as the differential is keep widening.

What these gentlemen are saying can be accurately illustrated with the chart.

Who is this gentleman?

That's something for Pakistan and it citizens. Third generation decedents don't have much of a voice.

you can use another word that you think describes the relation more appropriately(which I guess changed over time), I was merely implying that most talks came due to pressure from USA.... and sometimes even russia.
The gdp gap does not have much impact....

To be honest both nations are irrelevant ever since the Tashkent agreement was signed. It's between Pakistan and India now. India remains stronger, Pakistan remains in a limbo.

Would you weigh Pak China relationship in the same marriage of hate and love metaphor? What would be the outcome if it's that relationship and the outcome if its not.

Your comments pls.

Not the same thing, there certainly is no hate. Both are neighbours as well, the US observed from far and was hands off for many, many years.
The outcome? We are talking about decades here....

Debatable, and more when the commentator has already said that you are again putting all egg in the same basket.

post kargil talks happened(remember the red carpet to Musharaf?) because of USA pressure..
many talks are facilitated by them, secretly.

Its true, as far as the rest of the world is concerned, the PDF world being an exception, India and Pakistan represent an investment opportunity vs a terror ridden unstable state, respectively.

This Arab style religious fanaticism and jihad psychosis has led too many impressionable Pakistani citizens down the path of death and terror, and if not an outright majority, then at least a significant minority remain sympathetic to jihadi causes.

About time those people realized that there are no good and bad terrorist, there is no good and bad jihad..

and it's not just India, the rest of the world is pulling away from that kind of insane religion driven violent ideology.
