I don't understand this. Do Enemies love each other? What is the issue here?

Everything else is fine, i don't get the logic behind boycotting sport, i really don't. More than hurting Pakistan you are the hurting the sport itself. Same logic applies when you people talk about water or etc, etc...

What about outside india?? ... For example. what about senior Hockey ... Why wasn't the Pakistan Hockey Team NOT invited by the Malaysia for the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup?, you are going to blame india for this too?

I think we didn't qualify for it. Pakistan teams have qualified for different events which were to be held in India but India never granted visas to our teams, there are many examples not just one or two...
Being an educated person i'm sure you condemn such stupidity.

I do not follow this thread much. But I think we are looking for our interests alone. Our sports is doing better day by day. We are diversifying for quite a few years now. Apart from Cricket, we have badminton, tennis, chess, wrestling champions as well by now. Even our lackluster football team has made it to the top 100 last week. That's all we are worried about I guess.

LAHORE: Already facing crunch time, Pakistan hockey has suffered yet another shock when the Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) did not invite the country, for the first time, in the traditional Sultan Azlan Shah Cup being held next month.

The 26th edition of the Azlan Shah Cup is scheduled to begin on April 26. Since its inception in 1983, the Azlan Shah Cup has featured Pakistan almost regularly. The green-shirts have won the title thrice (1999, 2000, 2003) while remaining runners-up six times, the last occasion being 2011.

In its reaction to the unusual scenario, the Pakistan Hockey Federation has written a letter to the country’s High Commissioner in Malaysia urging the official to convey PHF concerns over MHC’s stunning move — of not inviting Pakistan for the event — to Malaysia’s sports ministry.

PHF secretary Shahbaz Senior said he had also written a letter to the the Asian Hockey Federation to take up the issue with the MHC.


“The [MHC] decision has disappointed us as participation in the Azlan Shah Cup was a great opportunity for us to prepare ourselves team for the World Cup qualifying round to be held in London in June,” Shahbaz said while underlining that Pakistan over the years had played a significant role in promoting the sport of field hockey in Malaysia.

As an alternative plan, Shahbaz said, the PHF would now try to schedule some matches for the national team against Argentina, Belgium, Spain and Germany.

After the PHF failed to send its team to the Junior World Cup held in India earlier this year -- mainly due to not applying for visa to meet the FIH deadline to confirm participation -- the Azlan Shah Cup is a big blow to the PHF.

Meanwhile, some PHF officials on the condition of anonymity have blamed Narinder Batra, an Indian, who won election of FIH president last year, for the cold shoulder given these days by the world hockey community to Pakistan.

UN can't interfere in Bilateral issue , the UN resolution became void as soon as Pakistan signed the shimla & Lahore treaty in 1972 & 1999.

This is the very reason why Pakistan so desperately tries to drag 3rd party nations like US , Uk, UN .

US,UK,China,Russia have all openly stated Kashmir is a bilateral issues.

no it didn't become void. Nowhere in treaty it is said that previous UN resolutions are void but instead treaty ask parties to obide UN resolutions and charter completely.

Again , shimla agreement makes p0k & jk Kashmir a bilateral dispute , Pakistan signed it & fully accepts it as such . That very fact supersedes UN resolution , the UN can't meddle in internal or Bilateral issues unless its invited .

Besides the UN resolution states Pakistan to withdraw ftom P0K.

Do you think this whole region can hold referendum as per UN resolution ?

If Pakistan wants to change the terms of resolution then India would like to scrap the resolution.

Promotion and developement of sports in Pak is not the responsibility Indian Govt. Its sole responsibility and accountibility lies with Pak govt. And i am quite sure Pakistan Govt. itself is wholly accountable for the sorry state of sporting affairs.

Besides the tense situation between the two neighbouring countery is not really condusive...given the high emotional patriotism of the citizens of both the country. Sports can abate enmity only till certain extent...

we will with drw but what is the guarantee that pleblicite will occur. You know kashmiris are all against you now adays.
would you guarantee us the pleblicite, we will fall back. or else as a guarantee give us written permission to use 0 nuclear bombs on india if india didn't implement the next steps.
