What's new

India is buying Sri Lanka's second-largest airport despite it only handling a dozen passengers a day

Awww ..... so what is suppppa powwwaa cheena going to do about it ?

Bitch and whine some more ?
Why so agitated my Indian bhai? SUPA POWA is a word reserved for India devised by me initially and spread through the forum like wild fire, because it describes a delusional sense of superiority. Let's discuss the merits of buying a 300mil$ empty airport which was rejected by the Chinese who built it in the first place and I really want to know how do you use an airport to block a commercial port.:rofl::rofl:

cheena is the wanna be supppa powwa who has been kicked out of the same airport they financed and built :cheesy:

Now SL is handing over the Airport to India while all you can do is whine and bitch

The entire airport was built using chinese money and expertise and now India is going to be eating the fruits of the tree that china planted.

Even the ATC testing was done by a Hawker Beechcraft B200 King Air of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority :P

I think a it will make a great base for housing a couple of P-8I aircraft along with a few UAV and Dorniers 228 along with RAW.

LOL at your butthurt. So much for your 'high iq'

Erm genius, do you know it was built with a loan from China by the Chinese and inreturn they offered us equity when they couldn't repay the loan. We rejected that offer and instead took over Hambantota port which makes commercial sense. Why should you put an airbase in SL when you are less than 200km away? It doesn't make commercial nor strategic sense, it only made SUPA POWA sense, that is India burning 300mil$ to show off.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

You need to start having some independent thought instead of doings things as a reaction to China. Btw, how does buying an airport stop a commercial port? Please xplain?

Colombo port hold more traffic than chinese port in sri lanka.
Check who runs the busiest berth in Colombo port. :china:

Because any chinese that fly into the Hambantotat port will do so using this airport and will be monitored by RAW.

It will help us keep a close eye on the port too and on chinese actives there. It will neutralize chinese ability to push their agenda and stick to economic development.

LOL at your butt hurt.

Why would we want to stop you from pouring more moneyy into a loss making empty port in SL ?

This will however stop you from using that port for anything other than commercial activity.

All that boast of 'high iq' has been exposed as hot air. lol.

You can just bribe the SLankans, you don't need to pay 300mil$ and operate it at a loss @ 10mil$ per year to know any 'tourist' are coming in.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

You don't need an airport to monitor a sea port, just use spy sats. it's cheaper. So everytime, we create some 'threat' and India will keep on burning cash? :enjoy: Such reactive geniuses.

It is only loss making because of incompetent management. I believe with proper Chinese management, the port is feasible, since 3 out of 10 major lines are from China. They will reroute to that port. Whether we can use it for uses for other reasons depends on the SLankans not an airport genius. Once Rajapaksa wins, we are in, else we just use it as a commercial entity, all strategic port China invested plays two roles, commercial and military. If the military portion is rejected, we proceed with the commercial portion. This is called strategic thinking not reactive thinking like you geniuses.

LOL.... how will satellites monitor submarines genius ?

US must be stupid to invest billions of $ in the P-8A aircrafts. LOL.

We are getting a military base in SL thanks to your misadventure. That is priceless

LOL..... you spent 1.1 billion $ to get a loss making port that can only be used for commercial operations.

Not to mention the millions of $ you have to spend to keep it operational year after year.

SL has an agreement with India not to allow SL for outside military. Not to mention that SL has now imposed an agreement with china that will ensure that the security of the port will ALWAYS be in SL hands

Which means any ship that docks in that port needs SL permission :cheesy:

SL will decide who can dock in that port and who cannot dock. LOL at your fantasy of a military base.

Sometimes I really wonder if Indians lack common sense. Why does a submarine need to go to a port? Are they going to be submerged when they dock? They need a base to replenish and rest, that's why they will be docked at a port. P-8s are used to track submarine submerged in an open ocean not a submarine docked at a port genius.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Here is a sample how you use satellites to detect a submarine in a base. P-8s can be flown from Tamil Nadu base, you don't need a SL base which is less than 200km away. You can intercept Chinese submarines in the IOR before they even reach Hambantota. That's why Hambantota is not a strategic naval base for China due to the proximity from India, at most Hambantota is used for refueling and replenishment. You should be worried about Maldives instead.:enjoy:

Btw, who says you are getting a military base in SL? Are going SUPA POWA delusional again?:rofl: The current SL government is pretty smart, they know how to milk India by making you guys paranoid and nervous and they are open to cooperation with China to run Hambantota port to make a profit. Whether China gets replenishment and refueling rights depends on the SL government, we are just guests in their country, we don't own nor control them.

That's the point why would China buy a loss making port for a billion unless they think it makes commercial sense? Who says we are paying for the operations? Do you even know the facts? This port was built by China through a loan, the contractor was Chinese and the operator was SL. They made a big loss and in return we are converting our loans to equity.:D

China has some of the world's best port operators and we also own some of the largest merchant lines. To me paying 1 bil$ in terms of loan to equity transfer instead of the airport makes more commercial sense. Why do you think we rejected that offer? From day 1, that airport made no sense, it was a loan given to Rajapaksa as a prestige project. And India out of fear and reactive as usual became the cow for milking.:D

Firstly SL does not have an agreement with India not to allow foreign military ships from docking or visiting. The PM only gave you verbal reassurance that no naval ships shall dock there, however, the agreement with China remains a secret and there are loops holes which China can exploit as per one SL analyst. Secondly, SL is a sovereign country, they have the right to choose who to allow in and out. We had always needed SL permission to dock, we are not a SUPA POWA.:D

Lastly, whether Hamban can be a military base will depend on the next SL government. We are just guests in their country.:china:

You are desperately looking to spin your butt hurt into a blessing

Feel free to fantasize about a military base in SL while India take charge of the airport your built in SL. We find your reaction totally amusing.

Adios supppa powwwaaa cheena

Come on, why are you running away from a decent debate. I am open to different analysis and ideas. Why so desperate to prove India is not a cow getting milked?:rofl::rofl:

I told you , we can't have any base without SL consent, the same applies to India. Remember your last wild card the Tamil tigers had been eliminated with our funding and help.:enjoy:

Good luck with running the world's emptiest airport bhai.:D

P/s: stop copying my supa powa tagline for India. Can you look for another one?
