I am surprised that the Indian media has not understood the Chinese tactic of hot and cold engagement. They become hot, they become cold and hot again then cold again all the while taking over more and more Indian occupied territory. The only advantage india had in pangong tso was taking over heights in their side of the lake. In this disengagement the Indians agreed to empty all the peaks. What happens if the Chinese decide to move in due to superior mobility and now take the peaks on the southern banks? The main Chinese objective is to ensure its CPEC route is secured meaning they may be preparing for a resetting of the LOC 40-50 kms inside Indian occupied Kashmir.
