where are you more likely to be viewed with suspicion, India or the US ?

For the last few years - India. Though this situation differs from state to state, region to region.

In certain areas of India, and you know where they are, even without me having any identifying Muslim features, we make sure that we are never in a position where if an unfortunate situation was to break out, we would not be vulnerable. But that is my privilege to be able to do so. Not everyone is afforded the same privilege, especially the poor.
