QUETTA: In wake of recent indications of Indian-sponsored terrorism in the country, a key commander of Pakistan Army claimed on Friday that the neighbouring country has launched an unconventional war with Pakistan.

“The arrest of Kulbhushan Yadav, a RAW agent, from Balochistan is an indication that India has mounted an unconventional war on us,” Commander Southern Command Lt-Gen Aamer Riaz said while talking to journalists at Quetta Press Club. “India wants to spread chaos and anarchy in Pakistan.”

Balochistan government had in March this year disclosed the arrest of Yadav, an Indian navy officer who confessed he had been working for India’s premier intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing, to carry out subversive activities in Balochistan and Karachi.

The commander said some conspiring elements did not want progress and development in Balochistan. “Conspiracies are being hatched against Pakistan and foreign elements are aiding local militants to fuel unrest in the country,” he claimed.

Lt-Gen Riaz assured Pakistan Army will spare no effort to assist the families of those who lost their lives in Quetta carnage.

At least 76 people, mostly lawyers, were killed in a suicide attack at a hospital in the Balochistan capital on Monday, after lawyers rushed to the place following a fatal attack on Balochistan Bar Association (BBA) President Bilal Anwar Kasi.

The army has launched country-wide combing operations to target terrorist hideouts following the brazen attack.

Separatist militants frequently target security forces and government installations in Balochistan, which has been plagued by a low-key insurgency since 2006.

The Generals of all the people must know that the enemy is called an enemy because of a reason. Question that he must answer is that what exactly is it that they are doing to eliminate the threat? because the inroads RAW has made into Pakistan are simply not going to tapped by a mere operation in Waziristan. if the political govt is hampering the operation, then it must too be put into its place without question.

I still await the fulfillment of Gen Raheel Shareef's promise of taking the operation to its logical end

Anti-terror fight to focus on foreign agencies

The two stories are related. I hope now they go after the jugular instead of mopping up the cannon fodders. Its not hard to identify the terror chain all the way up to HQs of hostiles intelligence agency. Not long ago Sarfraz Bugti mentioned the names of Afghan generals who are the brain child of terrorist activities in Pakistan. Same goes to India. Rather replying in same kind, which I dont think any sane Pakistani would approve, just neutralize the agents of hostile agencies. That will be more effective.

They are laying the foundation for another Kargil....
They are thinking how to capture all over spreaded Kulbhushan Yadavs and how to tackle cold start doctrine....

Pakistan has been waging an unconventional war on India for the last 30 years and now started waging information war too.

India needs to learn a lot from Pakistan. India comes no where close to Pakistan's capability and duplicity in these areas.

Full credit to ISI and Pakistani establishment.

There is a reason why ISI is considered among the top agencies in the world.

How?? They can do a lot within their own country however world is not buying those arguments...when it would, that is when Pakistan establishment will deserve accolades....other than than building a local consensus is what they will achieve...

Pakistani general population not joining the dots of being part of WOT and resulting Frankenstein turning against them...not necessarily means rest of world will buy that at face value...no??

Can someone help answer this- I've noticed something that is odd to me in this India- Pakistan spygate allegations I've followed here.

1. When India catches a Pakistani spy they allow Pakistan full consular access to Pakistan, but oddly Pakistan never takes them up to speak to their Pakistani citizen. Almost like they disown their citizens.

2. But when Pakistan claims they caught an Indian spy they refuse consular access to India.
