I am Dalit, yet i faced no problem from hindu's or muslim's etc.... yes there are problems in places.... but not all over India... we re not like you guys... Recently i asked my friend who is muslim... if you got chance will you go to pakistan... he simply replied are you mad? why will i go there... Muslims in Andhra pradesh are defending partition of state.... some guys thinking to invite them to pakistan...

Care to explain why in Pakistan exclusively Hindu women are being ill treated.
In North India especially in UP during Mullah Mulayam' tenure Dalits are mostly targeted.

Agreed. Rape is just part of their culture.

When people think of India.....the word rape comes to mind. This is their reputation now.

USA rapes per 100,000 population - 27.3 (recorded by Police)
Pakistan rapes per 100,000 population - 2.16 (recorded by Police- Reported in Pakistan National assembly)
India rapes per 100,000 population - 1.8 (recorded by Police)

Though i don't doubt those statistics but many cases of rape/sexual assault doesn't get reported in India.

Which is true.. Hence I would not compare the countries in the subcontinent with the western world.. However, since a Pakistani posted that article, I am putting forward their statistics to show them a mirror..

Interestingly I was with a Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Delhi) yesterday for some drinks and he is totally clear that the instances of sexual crimes in the capital has actually gone down in last 5 years, and the reporting and registering of those crimes has gone up manifold. Its this increase in transparency which is making so many cases come to light which earlier did not even get reported. Hence the perception of sexual crimes being on the upswing in the capital.
