India does not have an ICBM programme

from LCA Tejas

Would pakistan be testing the missile? (giving india a pretext to make and test our own ICBM's) or will they be some uber missiles requiring no tests

Hi,
well i dont know if i knew i am sure you would have been aware of that as well, well they can be uber missiles if Pakistan has procured any from China :bunny:

.
May i know the reasons....

If you are asking the reason, Then I am surprised, Doesn't it very obvious. India use foreign material in missile if they declare ICBM then foreign countries will stop supplying that material and i guess this had happened earlier. If you have too much curiosity about material and who are the supplier then Google it, there are lots of article for it. No end to read.

India is not an independent nation and takes orders from America. That is why you don't have an ICBM program.

dude ru high on drugs or did u get hit by a truck india is not a independent country LOL:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: man were u in coma or what its not 1946 its 2010 its been what 62 years since independence dude i think u need to take schooling again on ur global history else dont post such scraps :coffee::coffee:

India already has ICBM capability but won't disclose it for obvious reasons.

Any reasonable src? Or just bla bla bla, if you have src I really wanna know something about this area, but if it is just something like "indian can do everything but we dont wanna do it" or "indian have everything but we just dont show them", I think what you are doing is a wasting of internet resources.

You are just pretending not to understand something which is very clear! Indian rocket reaches the Moon which is 384,403 kilometres away from the Earth. We put satellites into Geosynchronous orbit which is 36000 km away. Our Agni-III can carry 2500 kg payloads to 3500 km away. Now every people with little common sense will understand that whether India can build ICBM or not. If you say, 'I will never believe that', thats something upto you.

isn't it a little too much to ask...???;)

So this kind of debate would never produce results. Its important to talk about what is already created instead of one is capable of. Maybe India can and would be able to create an ICBM. But the fact that India can send an orbitor to the moon or to geosynchronous orbit doesn't mean that India has ICBM capability as these two are not exactly the same technology. You can say that as acountry that can send satellite to the geosynchronous orbit, it has part of the technology that is similar to ICBM. But that doesn't mean that India already has ICBM technology or can easily produce one. So from the perspective of debating, India has no such capability.

Otherwise, there is no basis for debating a capability.

guys... lets not owrry abt our threats beyond 5000 kms... for india to justify its missile program expanision. If india goes any further, there is unnecessary tension, which at this stage is neither required nor an agenda. If there comes a time when india wants to expand it's influence beyond South Asia, it can think abt it... obviously i don't think these guys will stop at 5000 km even if they deny in public. In short, I wud prefer these guys to make better missiles upto 5500 Km and develop other variants to launch underwater tooo...

Are you talking about every country can launch satellites can produce ICBM??? Are you talking about a country can make tracks can make hybrid car??? And Are you talking about a country can make a memory can make high performance CPU??? Are you talking about a system can work well on windows so that system can aslo work well on Linux??? What a logic!! And I am aslo suprised there are many indian member agree with you.

And the post of faithfulguy aslo make the same sense, you should take a look, things dont go well like bcoz the are similar in aspect, so one of them worked, the others will aslo work. They are different tech.

.
really surprising....analogy of similarity between ICBM and PSLV and between memory and CPU....kudos

So, tell me what is the similarity between ICBM and PSLV? The similarity is they both fly to the sky???

you are an Iranian right?
why haven't you tested a nuke after enriching uranium for a decade
while countries like India and Pakistan didn't give a shyte to America or the world opinion and went ahead and tested theirs?

Iran has rightly or wrongly such a bad reputation that every country needs to think before cutting deals with you guys...not our fault.

.
1. we don't need an ICBM....as we don't want to ward-off the European union and America...we shouldn't create enemies just for the heck if it.

2.we already have all the capabilities of creating an ICBM with our PSLVs and GSLVs...it's only the matter of political will.

My, my, Iran is one country India has a very good relationship no matter what spin others put on it. One of the most successful community in India traces its lineage from there. Persian was a court language once upon a time. I would just consider this guy from Iran to be just kidding when he rants anti India stuff. In spite of voting against Iran on the nuke thing, India still has a very good relationship with Iran.
