Indian Railways shares 'before' and 'after' pic of Gandhinagar Capital station

The upgradation of Gandhinagar Capital Railway station has been done at a cost of ₹71.50 crore

Minister of State for Railways & Textiles, Darshana Jardosh shared a video clip of the railway station at night.

With an aim of giving priority to passenger satisfaction, Gandhinagar Capital station has been developed jeweled with amenities at par with modern airports for a pleasurable experience. There is segregated Entry and Exit surrounded by landscaped area. Parking facilities have been provided for more than 300 vehicles. There is an inter-faith prayer hall, art gallery with LED wall display lounge, baby feeding room, centralized AC waiting hall, Double height entrance lobby with spacious ticketing facility etc. Special Care has been taken to make it a Divyang friendly station by providing it with a special ticket booking counter, ramps, lifts, dedicated parking space etc.

On July 14, 2021, ISRO has successfully conducted the third long duration hot test of the liquid propellant Vikas Engine for the core L110 liquid stage of the human rated GSLV MkIII vehicle, as part of the engine qualification requirements for the Gaganyaan Programme.

On July 14, 2021, ISRO has successfully conducted the third long duration hot test of the liquid propellant Vikas Engine for the core L110 liquid stage of the human rated GSLV MkIII vehicle, as part of the engine qualification requirements for the Gaganyaan Programme.
The engine was fired for a duration of 240 seconds at the engine test facility of ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC), Mahendragiri in Tamil Nadu. The performance of the engine met the test objectives and the engine parameters were closely matching with the predictions during the entire duration of the test."

Mahindra XUV700 makes global debut

Power for the new XUV700 comes from either a petrol or diesel powertrain. The 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol Mahindra mStallion unit is tuned to produce 200hp and 380Nm. On the other hand, the diesel is a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder mHawk turbocharged unit that will come in two states of tune. The lower state unit (reserved for the entry level version) will produce 155hp and 360Nm, while the unit in higher variants will churns out 185hp and 420Nm (450Nm with the automatic gearbox). The diesel engine also comes with four drive modes – Zip, Zap, Zoom and Custom – that are claimed to alter performance and steering response.
