Infosys to build software development center in eastern India

(Reuters) - Indian information technology company Infosys Ltd said on Monday it would open a software development center in the eastern state of West Bengal, with an investment of about 1 billion rupees ($14.28 million).

The first phase of construction bit.ly/2B4yf57 on the 525,000-square feet facility will be able to accommodate 1,000 employees, the country's second-biggest software services exporter said.
The first phase is expected to be completed within 15 months from the date of obtaining regulatory clearances, the company said.

In his Independence Day speech at a city government function held at Chhatrasal stadium, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal lauded his government's efforts in the health and education sector and said that the Delhi's"unprecedented development" is being discussed all over the world.
"Unprecedented development has happened in Delhi during the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)'s over three-year rule. The initiatives of the Delhi government such as improvements in the school education and the health sector scheme such as Mohalla Clinics are being discussed all over the world. Former secretary general of United Nations Kofi Annan will come to India with a delegation to visit Mohalla Clinics in September," the Chief Minister said.
The Chief Minister said if the countries such as Japan, which was ravaged in World War II, managed to rise again and why India is lacking behind. "Many other countries that gained independence after India are now more developed and far ahead of use. If a good education is ensured for all children in the country, our poverty and unemployment can be removed within one generation," Kejriwal said.
He further said that the opposition charged the ruling AAP of being "stubborn", Kejriwal said, "Yes, we are stubborn because we want a corruption-free, rich and educated India. Our dreams are big but achievable."
Meanwhile, when people present at the event started chanting,"Bharat Mata Ki Jai", Kejriwal said the slogan will be realised when all the children will receive a good education, farmers will get the price for their crops, women will be respected, and no country in the world will be able to browbeat India.
The Chief Minister said while the national Capital had come up with best drainage system thousands of years ago, it now lacks a decent sewer system. "But, the wind of change is blowing now. Delhi will have the best sewer system in the world in the next five years," he said.
The chief minister signed off rendering "Hum Honge Kamyab" along with school children present in the event. Earlier, the chief minister unfurled the tricolor and was accorded guard of honour by contingents of the Delhi Police, Home Guards and students from government schools. He awarded medals for gallantry and meritorious service to serving officials and the families of personnel who died performing their firefighting duty.

Pakistan's latest narrative is economy-economy-economy, there's lots of talk of nothing but economy. But wait - there's a lie !
For eg. I estimate that Indian commie style Bajaj scooter and Tata trucks may have added 1-2 % points to Indian economy growth rate. Cut to the present, the automobile, vehicle industry and parts industries make up a solid percentage of the Indian economy with lots of exports. While Tata expanded into all types of vehicles from it's Truck days and also massively expanded it's back end steel production business, Bajaj went from scooters to auto's and bikes, word is Bajaj will take a giant leap into the car, minivan and jeep business leveraging discontinuous e-vehicle or battery technology.
- However, the numbers break down to 0 sum game. Approximately $ US 20 Billion in exports like linen, cotton etc. Vs. $ 40 in imports like palm oil and crude oil
- Pakistan's # 1 export is HR. Overseas Pakistanis. Pakistan's remittances therefore need to be factored in. The gap in the export-import dynamic is bridged by remittances. And more. Because 1/2 the money is routed through legal, another 1/2 via 'Hundi'
