@jamahir, this thread is called :
  • India Developing, but still a long way to go ...

no, my point was that tall buildings for cities is a obsolete idea... it is for societies like china and india who have arrived upon "development" rather late.

a proper city should have houses that are one storey or max two storey, set in a garden, within tree lined neighborhood, with wide roads ( like how it is in usa )... offices should be max four storey and cleanly built.

And you've decided that that's supposed to be "beautiful"? That's laughable given the topography of some space-starved coastal cities, especially ones like Bombay.

bombay is mostly not a planned city with a planned economy... after 1947, bombay should have been limited to bollywood, headquarters of companies and some industries ( like the once-present clothing mills )... what is it now??

yeah, these certified gentle people in 68 years have given india such world-class cities which give their denizens harmonious and free-from-crime lives.

taap kilaas.

I know this is internet and you are entitled your right to fling your faeces across and all. But for effing G*d's sake, can you please spare this thread and sell your closet jihadist/socialist/idealist snake-oil some place else?

For many of us on here, this is the only thread worth checking for updates eagerly, every single day!

If you didn't get the hint yet, debate is NOT the primary motive of 'this' thread! Posting any positive updates about how "India is developing but still a long way to go", is!

If you indeed have something to contribute on topic, let's hear it.
