India looks not too bad through those pics, but it's still a dirt poor country. :)

It is a very poor nation and it does have a long way to go, but development is happening like never before. And it hasn't reached it's true potential.

India is creating good momentum.

Good for u. We had the same golden years from 1960s to 1980s.
It's nice to see India's improvement in education, health & welfare services, human rights of rural people & ethnic minorities and environment.

During my B. tech travelled so many times btw these two cities but that time construction was in progress

whats great is that these are not very high profile roads, exceptions to the general rule. most of the highways in India are either modernized or under modernization.very soon we will be able to boast a great, prolific highway system.

What is needed next is an overseer for expressways. a NEAI was proposed but I dont think it will be around for sometime. even then we are making many expressways all over the country. India's infrastructure moment is finally arriving.

So this is the famed rd. to Taj :-) .

This road's put this already hi-fi area on booster juice.

If this new UP CM slips on governance, this place will be impacted somewhat re:
security of investment, but not by much. After all it was Daddy's pet project back in it's time.

Indian roads are  finally catching up to Pak. and just as much of a luxury. India, Pak etc. are hardly motoring type of countries re: fuel costs. Good news for 'farm to fork' brokers.

I just realised that India & Pak have phenominal region based, micro economies. There's majic in the micro economic eco-system; this road infra will amplify systemic intra region economic activity. With better rail, port and river logistics things will be more like Pak. Pak needs to fix it's rail though.

Humayun Peerzada's pictures of his city Bombay are 'da Bomb !
