In Purchasing Power Parity terms:

  • $ 100 Billion = ~ 1,000 Billion = $ Trillion
Bricks and mortar, steel and labour + land are at least 10 times or more cheaper in India still.

I don't know of any nation, ever, including US/Russia/Germany/Brazil or China that spend so much on infra. in 1 shot, ever. And many of the above had to start from nothing. Current India infra. spends are much spend on upgrading old British Colonial, Mughal Colonial and other's preceding infra. before that.
