India deploys more fighter jets in Kashmir

Has it occured to ANYONE here, that the strength of Su-30MKI's is increasing year on year. India has already paid for 230 Su-30MKI's. Now certainly you dont expect 230 Su-30's to be cooped up in AFB's in the center of the country away from everyone else.

That means that the Su-30 squadrons would be spread ALL over the country. So its obvious they would re-locate some to FOB's and other AFB's over a lot of states.

Some BD newspaper was also commenting on how India has chosen to deploy Su-30's near the BD border-ie West Bengal and Assam and how it was provocative!
Same for deployment near China! I mean come on people..think things through before commenting.

Thanks Malay…That’s exactly what I was trying to say in my last few posts….WHY SO FUSS IN THE MEDIA?

First there were statements ( by IAF ) that SU-30s deploying near China, then Bangladesh, now Kashmir…. Where next? Or does it really matter ?

SUs will be coming in abundance and deploying all over the India, will IAF issue a news statement each time they are deployed?

I believe they just make an official report. Media here takes it out of context and creates a hype around it or sensationalizes it. Its not as if IAF is giving out these reports. Its always 'an unnamed official' who tips these newsmen!
