The Chushul ALG is within field artillery range of the Chinese. Thus it is highly vulnerable and prone to active interference in case of hostilities. Not activating the Chuhsul ALG is the correct decision. It is simply not safe enough.

What is the distance from the LAC and what about crest clearance?

Sure fine everybody to their own opinions no doubt but i would like to ask the mods what are they doing do they also carry the same opinion that the blood shed of Indians is amusing and funny thing, some thing to be enjoyed then i think there is no need of reporting these posts as the forum itself believes in this.)

Aerial distance, not more than 9 Kms. Crest clearance is not much of an issue. Too close for comfort.
