I don't know why Indians continue to vote for Congress.

Even as a rival to India, I still respect Narenda Modi, because he is a strong administrator.

I don't think he would bow to China like Congress does on these issues.

This didn't just happen to me, or just to Chinese members.

I've seen Pakistani, Bangladeshi members who were originally friendly to India... getting a big dose of reality.

Fortunately its the right step at this moment.We have to accept the fact that the Chinese are superior to us both economically and militarily.But having said that we should concentrate on our economy and also keep developing our armed forces so that in future we are in a better position than today.

They are developing their side near border but not letting us to do same so that they can enjoy ground advantage & preparedness near border if there is war in future...... I dont understand why our friends are advocating about to play safe in this case... Why we cant build..? If tomorrow china raises concern other parts of india then again we should be showing same attitude ..... China always trying to judge india's never every time with her provocative mindset because they know that we wont let it to escalate further. I'm just tired of Indians blaming democracy, as the reason for why they are behind China.

Out of all the "great powers", almost all of them are democracies. Same with the top five largest economies.

It's China who has the odd system out.

OK this is what i make of this...
When India decided to activate the Chushul base ...the position of the base must have been such that it would give decisive advantage to the Indian forces under present situation ..
Now what such an action triggers is, the fact that China feels vulnerable at this points and starts moving asets in a manner that it is better situated or equipped to adequately counter it ..
This movement can have 2 implication ---either it brings em closer to our border or forces an logistically hard & grinding move to be better situated.
This in turn leads to further tension at the border.
Chines must have presented a proper case diplomatically so as to sway our Forces to keep this move on a hold.

Such bases anyways can be up and running within 2 days(guesstimate) but the first reaction capability is lost ,nevertheless it also keeps aggressive posturing at minimum and reduces tension and insecurity on both sides.

I meant to say our gov. dosent show them mettle thats why China is so assertive on certain issues ... Moreover China is country which policy are so unpredictable that you always remain keep checking ur own position rather than standing firm.....
