I dont think China wants to solve the dispute that is why they are trying to prove their right on tawang.

@ Chinese people here : the tibet religion argument won't fly here since buddhism started in India. Its an indian religion. So, technically tibet belongs to India.

yes. buddhism starded in india.
but you have a strange logic. the musilhism started in Arabian Peninsula but it doesnt mean all muslim country belong to arrabian.

and it is true that buddhism starded in india. but yourself have losed this relegion for a long time.

actually we do want to solve the dispute. but tawang is the key problem. we have to solve the key problem first.

Judging by the title of the thread this is time to stop holding talks and start hard core negotiations. Unless the rigid mindset is not changed there is no point in meeting. I defy 1 party to break from the norm and make an offer to the other side and compromise. The relationship between the 2 would be improved 10 fold. Is that ever going to happen? Somehow i think not..

Jailer, that sounds very nice an' all but you know no one's going to accept LoC as the international border. There's just too many vested interests at stake (by all parties) whether it be Kashmir or Arunachal Pradesh.

Agreed .. But still war is not a solution. We need to select middle way to resolve all outstanding issues without compromising our territorial integrity. Dialogues is the only way to move forward. What do you think?

india has never made an offer. if india make a fair offer for tawang. maybe we will accept it with even with high price

My point is someone has to give something or this will simply be stalemate. They have met 14 times and no result. So if there is no change on whats being offered then guys same petrol and stay home

Nobody is talking about war here mate. Don't listen to the chest thumpers (which there are many of) here on this forum. Arunachal Pradesh is nothing but a bargaining chip for the Chinese. GoI understands this. Hence the holding of many talks with no end result in sight (at least for the near future).

I'd say the Indians in Arunachal Pradesh might, the Indians in Sikkim might and of course the Kashmiris in Kashmir do.

And Beer... not such a good idea for these meetings.

But why bother having meetings that everyone goes home with no deal? I like americans I dont like american govt

Just for the sake of having talks. Neither party either expects to find a solution nor do they want to. But by pretending that you do, you can buy some time and continue to trade.
