This is not the first time Indian and Chinese soldiers have exchanged blows along the border. In August 2017, Indian and Chinese soldiers threw stones at each other and also exchanged blows near Pangong Lake in Ladakh, close to the de facto border between the two countries.

Scores of Indian and Chinese soldiers were involved in a tense face-off along the India-China boundary in north Sikkim on Saturday, two senior officials said on the condition of anonymity.

The aggressive confrontation between the troops from the two sides happened near the Naku La sector (ahead of Muguthang), a pass at a height of more than 5,000 metres, said the first officer cited above.

Several soldiers were injured in the border stand-off as they exchanged blows.

“Four Indian soldiers and seven Chinese troops suffered injuries during the confrontation that involved around 150 soldiers,” said the second officer cited above.

He said the face-off was resolved at the local level.

Two officials Hindustan Times spoke to in the Army Headquarters denied knowledge of the face-off.

The Naku La area was traditionally not prone to face-offs, a former top commander said.

This is not the first time Indian and Chinese soldiers have exchanged blows along the border. In August 2017, Indian and Chinese soldiers threw stones at each other and also exchanged blows near Pangong Lake in Ladakh, close to the de facto border between the two countries.

The clash near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) aggravated bilateral tensions as it happened at a time when the two neighbours were locked in a long stand-off in the disputed Doklam plateau close to Sikkim.

The 73-day Doklam stand-off between India and China along the Sikkim border was likely to be the new normal, the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS) said in 2017, making a strong case for building military capabilities. The stand-off ended with the withdrawal of troops by both armies.

source is Indians so clearly much more soor ma received blows..but we know mahaan India has to win everything in news and on internet.....

"Fist fight led to 7 Chinese PLA soldiers being injured. 4 Indians received minor injuries. Such face offs are common."

It was just some fistfight between soldiers from two different countries with nuclear weapons. Okay, I didn't know little conflicts such as this that may trigger a nuclear war was so common at the borders between China and India.

They brahmans sitting behind will get their poor gorkhas and Sikhs killed

Today's clash between #PLA and #indianArmy can be viewed with the backdrop of 2 chopper crash landedilanded #Sikkim in last 3 days.

According to one OSINT yesterday's chopper crash was a result of fire from the ground.

Nothing unusual. These scuffles are quite common on China border and are resolved locally by local military commanders from both sides.

Earlier in Doklam hostility, Indians can even lied on signed treaties.

Mount Gipmochi was demarcation based on agreement on Sino-British in the Convention of Calcutta 1890. Then Indian lied and say Batang La is Mount Gipmochi. Then Indians shouted China invade India.

They lie and lie non stop even if things are coded.

Shytty people.

India and US are the world biggest rogue state.

You are too much into conspiracy theories.
Both the emergency landings were due to extremely bad weather. There was no damage to the helicopters and the pilots were safely rescued.

Nothing new indeed but it have potential to get really ugly really quickly. Please remember that China is not bound to avoid use of extensive force like we are on LoC. We cannot retaliate with extensive heavy artillery because the Indian forces position the artillery in Kashmiri villages on their side, using the Muslim Kashmiri population as a human shield. The Chinese wont care for any such thing at all. For the sake of peace of the region i hope the Indian leadership remember that. They wont hesitate to respond as we usually do since the people on both side of LoC are our Kashmiri brothers.

This conflict thankfully was resolved locally. I hope things are not pushed to a point of no return!

The Indian media was reporting it to be a Mi-17. Going by that these images you shared are not related to this recent incident. Or was the media wrong once again?

China will never fight in Sikkim sector. There is nothing to gain.

If China start self defence, she will start in Ladakh, Tawang, or Medog or Walong.

These are disputed area, and China will push the LOC south.

I cant wait to see China flag in Tawang + Bomdila.
