Modi's behaviour over Rohingya is really good for BD. This has done massive damage to the pro-Indian faction in BD society.
Turd was the only leader who went to the Barman entity to support them while they were engaged in ethnic cleansing in Arakan last September.
Our fragility is shown in fitch and Moody's rating. We are not the one slapped with B- rating with negative outlook. So, save it.Your SP12 syndromes are showing,
there is a limit of your green bills compared to the other party, you keep on competing with the giant, you're gonna end up breaking your fragile backbone, plus, smaller countries will get outta your influence, which is already happening
Kaladan project is totally an eyewash.A feel good project into deluding that India is countering China in burma. It's distance, cost and hazards will not be any less that transporting goods through Siliguri corridor.Consider this, at first goods have to be loaded into ship in Kolkata port, then cross Bay of Bengal, unload in Sittwe port, then reload into river ships, navigate upstream 540km to reach the Mizoram border. After reaching Mizoram, goods have to load into trucks and traverse a lot of mountainous roads to supply various north east capitals. Among all these steps, a big sum of money have to pay the burmese for using it's port, river, ships and trucks. Now tell me, in which way all these things easier than transporting goods through Siliguri corridor? The truth is, India has no easy way to connect it's north east with the mainland. Both option(Siliguri or Kaladan) is handicapped by long distance, time consuming, hazardous and costly. Modi magic alone can not overcome these hurdles.Significance of Kaladan project and Manipur-Bangkok highway (if these ever get done - that is), is way overrated.
India will never be able to suppress China achieving influence over myanmar.Never ever. Myanmar is connected with mainland China through thousands of ways India can only imagine. burma provide China a strategic corridor which is unlike anything India need from burma. Kaladan project is nothing in front of Yunnan oil, gas pipeline and Chinese port in Arakan.burmese natural resources has much more ready markets in China than India. So China will never allow burma to become too close with India at the expense of it.If needed they will tear up burma than loosing it.burma is in the iron grip of Beijing and India is deluding itself thinking otherwise.China will make Mynamarese drag their little feet and will make damn sure this strategic advantage for India never gets fulfilled.
