India, China armies clash in Sikkim?

The Indian and Chinese armies have reportedly been locked in sporadic exchanges of fire in Sikkim, where the two countries share a high-altitude border, since Tuesday night.

A senior defence ministry official in Kolkata, where the Eastern Command is based, said the conflict had been on at Nathu-la pass — 54 km east of Sikkim’s capital Gangtok.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Ministry of Defence, however, denied any shooting on the border.:undecided:

The defence official, who refused to be identified, said, “The gunbattle intensified during the early hours of Wednesday. There are, however, no reports of any death or serious injuries.”

He said although India had not deployed any additional forces in the area, all civilian traffic had been stopped. But the ministry statement said the roads had been closed in the area because of landslides.

The official said, “The skirmish caused concern as at a special joint meeting on August 15 both sides reaffirmed their resolve to strengthen the existing friendship.”

Situated at 14,140 feet, Nathu-la reopened for trade in 2006 after the 1962 Sino-Indian War.

exchange of fire? that is no good.

China's guided rockets can hit Indian PM's office within hours,
China's ICBM can be launched from the Sino-Russian border region and hit Indian's population center in hours,
China's Type-094 subs can deliver some JL-2 missiles to the regime of India from the Port of New York.

tell me dude, how such "exchange of fire" can be constructive for your crashed economy?

I hope the news article is not right, cos this is one place, where there is a people to people interaction between our two countries and this skirmish is not at all good. I hope may it arised due to some misunderstanding if at all it happend and both countries sort it out at the nathula pass level itself.

WE CAN is a very good term to use for India.

for example, with that term, you can say "we can build tanks, fighters, navagation satellite", see, you can. have you ever built any combat ready tanks, fighters?

i've told you, you should allow people to say "we can".

Two game Cocks were fighting fiercely to be king of the farmyard. One finally gained advantage and the other surrendered.

The losing c0ck slunk away and hid himself in a quiet corner, while the winner, flying up to a high wall, flapped his wings and crowed of his victory as loud as he could.

An Eagle sailing through the air pounced upon the winning **** and carried him off in his talons. The losing c0ck immediately came out of his corner, and he ruled the farmyard from that day forward.

Comment: A very clear warning against boasting (though I haven't heard of many children being carried off by eagles).

:agree::agree:

Hasn't China already recognized Sikkim as an integral part of India? Then what was the reason for these clashes, if any? Anyore details?

and guys, just ignore that Shchinese guy. He has nothing better to do than spam India related threads with his utter ignorance or make new poorly researched, useless d!ck measuring threads. Unless you find anything informative in his threads, please don't feed/reply him.
