“Let alone China, India cannot even win a war against Pakistan. And this has nothing to do with the possession of nuclear weapons…”, this is how Indian authors Pravin Sawhney and Ghazala Wahab start their recently published book Dragon On Our Doorstep: Managing China Through Military Power.

Striking! A book – ostensibly coming as an advice for Indian policymakers that how New Delhi should manage a raising China, militarily and otherwise – starts with Pakistan.

The authors argue that while India has “focused on building military force”, which means amassing troops, weapons and other military hardware, what Pakistan has opted for is to build “military power” meaning “optimal utilization of [Pakistan’s] military force.”

The authors further stress that “… the road to managing an assertive China runs through Pakistan – both strategically and militarily.”

The duo concede that Indian efforts – especially those of the incumbent Modi regime over past three years – aimed at diplomatically isolating Pakistan have been rendered as futile, maintaining that “Pakistan today is being sought after by the United States, China, Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, the Central Asian Republics and the littoral countries of South Asia. It has emerged as a critical geopolitical pivot on the Eurasian chessboard.”

They further add: “India, on the other hand, remains an important but certainly not geostrategic player.”

“Whether we like it or not, the path to India becoming a leading power is through Pakistan,” assert the two experts.

It would be wiser for indian friends to see China and Pak as one when it comes to South and South West Asia.

Sino-Pak strategic interests are perfectly aligned.

With CPEC phase one reaching completion in the short term and ensuing phases will only solidify these Sino-Pak Axis.

This is reality. The only course for india is to become a constructive partner in South Asia and let go of its hegemonic policies.

Through Win-Win Paradigm millions upon millions can be lifted out of poverty in the region.

It is a choice that alone india can make... a partner for prosperity or remain a troublemaker?

Pak is the pivotal state in the Grand Eursian Chessgame... and it shall remain so even more.

The Only Real solution for these countries is forget the pass , and destroy there egos,
For true better future for next generations they need to come up and solve matters peacefully giving smaller nations respect as there bigger nations and facing problem together.
Other wise things will only get worse and people will be the only vicitms

Modi and his admins are ptobably only interested in immediate and short-term gratifications hence the level of brag unseen before from any other countries.

Attack on pakistan means attack on china and attack on china means attack on pakistan.

Pakistan cant even stand for 3 days against india conventionally. This is why your politicians blabber abt nukes.

Stop treating war as a wishing game.

War is war.

Conventional or unconventional if you had even a slightest mathematical probability you would have already conquered Pakistan.

We have nuclear deterrence to counter regional hegemony aspirations of our insecure neighbours.

Oh pls ... We got more pakistani territory in 1965 war but still we went back to same position.

We had enough ammunition in 1971 war and again, we dint take inch of pakistan.

We were ready to open international border in kargil war but we dint.

Reason for all --> Our P.M's have never been aggressors unlike indira gandhi.

No body wants ppl of pakistan here like we dont want rohingya here. So there is no point of occupying pakistan.

This is a notion which has been fed to you by your army to keep its worth alive.
