You first need to distinguish between NRC and CAA, from an NE perspective. Many of my people from Assam oppose CAA for a different reason than those rioting mullahs. NE wants NRC implemented in the whole of India to drive the illegals back.

Yes, every one irrespective of his/her religious affiliation. But a distinction has to be made between the economic immigrants and those fleeing religious persecution. Hindu Bangladeshi refugees facing religious pogrom in BD would be 5 lakhs at the most in Brahmaputra valley whereas the illegal economic miyas are somewhere between 6-7 millions.
