India begins feasibility study on 90-seater civilian aircraft

Are these meant only for the civillian use? What about varients for the military? There will be a gap in the transport aircraft fleet between the very light Saras (1.2t payload) and the MRTA (19t), or C 130 (20t), so cargo varients of RTA 90 for example should be a good idea on the lower end too right?

Btw, I guess the civillian version of MRTA will fill the field of jet engine aircrafts and Saras, or RTA the turbo prob fields.
