India begins building world's tallest statue for Rs55.6bn amid controversy

Could you please give a practical example in present day India,or is just in Hindu mythology ?.

Is India not a multifaceted country? It is not known for both culture, spirituality, bollywood, technology, military prowess, etc., etc. Symbolism is very important. It crystallise and represents our values and what we stand for. Bharat Mata is the symbolism for India. She is Mother India. Same like Mother Russia is for Russia.

This is Mother Russia.

You need the heart of a poet to see the spirit and value in these symbols.

@Dragon Ball doesn't know what he is talking about

The multiple arms/heads/limbs image of Hindu gods comes from the representation of the idea that that person has the strength/intelligence/etc of multiple people.

.
Like a dream coming true.... I am for the project ... This is co incidence or something, don't know...
I & one of my Marathi friend used to discuss extensively about a museum dedicated Shivaji maharaja before the Maha election times. He had predicted if bjp/shiv sena comes in power then this could be reality n today day eventually came...
All secularist & liberalist can whine for eternity.....

That is known as being multifaceted and multitalented. Infact a superhuman.

How can one have images of invisible?.

Do you, then, have a BHARAT PITAA,a multifaceted and multitalented one?.

This place creates thousands of jobs !

It is a symbolic representation of the skills and things India posses. Like wealth, water, knowledge (vedas) etc..etc..
Is she fallible?

God is both invisible as well as visible. God is all there is. So you can have gazillion images and it will all be true.

No, we don't have a Bharat Pitaa. A country is considered feminine in gender and hence personified as a woman.

Is she fallible?

This movie was directed by Mehboob. No character in this movie was named India but still the movie was named Mother India, you know why? Because that is what the protagonist represented. She was that indomitable character who remained unsullied and virtuous with unblemished integrity through all her trials and tribulations. Rising against all odds to prosperity and giving of herself selflessly. In the end even sacrificing her beloved son when he goes wrong. Mehboob understood what India was in his way and this was his tribute to India. It is just another version of the statue of Bharat Mata.

Yes she is fallible, because she watched as the radicals boasted and cowards attacked from behind.

She is amending this attitude now a days.

This woman is actress Nargis playing role of an honourable peasant lady, like millions of other poor but honourable Indian peasent women in real life with only two arms.

Yes she is fallible, because she watched as the radicals boasted and cowards attacked from behind.

God is infallible.

German call their country FATHERLAND.
We are not discussing Islam and its limited understanding of reality and God.

While Germans may call their country fatherland Germany itself is feminine. Germany is a beautiful country the saying goes, not Germany is a handsome country. The pronoun for Germany is a She and not a He.

Yet, the movie is called Mother India and not poor woman or peasant woman or Nargis. Leave it, Muslims have yet to evolve to understand metaphors and personifications or symbolisms. It is like they are born with a hole in their brain which blinds them to a whole field of metaphysical understanding of the world.

Your Brahminic arrogance typically, could not show patience for more than 30 seconds. Is the west embracing Islam in great numbers because they have holes in their brains and also ,are blind to the" metaphors and personifcations or symbolises and field of metaphysical understanding ".Big words, like oonchi dukaan and ..........

I tried my level best to make you understand until you brought in your Islamic understanding of God not considering the fact that there are other understandings of God beyond Islamic in this world. Of the 7 billion population in this world, only 1.6 billion are Islamic. The rest all have some conception of a visible God. Just because some people in West embrace Islam does not mean they are not with holes in their brains. I believe typically it is the intellectually deficient people who embrace Islam. There are a whole lot more people embracing Hinduism than Islam. Only it goes by different names like New Age, Yoga, Shavism, Vaishavism, etc. etc. They don't make much news because they are not involved in any conflict with their fellow human beings.

According to your understanding of Hindu Religion, any body who does not agree with that, has a hole in the brain ,hence cannot comprehend your version of metaphors, intellect and and what not,is intellectually deficient or in other word a shuder,Maleech or Dalat.I do not know, where exactly in the world are these Dalat,Maleech and unofficial shuders have their holes in brains filled with enough intellect to be Hindu, care to name a few?.

I am a Dalit :) so can readily dismiss your understanding of my statement. Dalits (Shuders or Maleech, whatever these are) readily understand the concept of Hindu gods and that is why they are Hindus in the first place even though Muslims and Christians have been crying rivers of tears in sympathy of their plight. Even your understanding of what a Dalit is, is deficient. I have had these arguments with Muslims dozens of times and it gets tiring trying to explain to them the Hindu concept of God. They have always been found to have a blind spot (which I call a hole in the brain) where explanations of cosmos as per Hindu understanding goes. This is not so with atheists, liberals, westerners, wicca, or anyone else you name it. They immediately grasp it and in general find themselves in agreement with it within a few minutes of discussions. This is not so with Muslims.

This is the statue of Hindu God Shiva in the form of Nataraj (God of Dance) holding the pride of the place in front of CERN. You won't find scientists of CERN arguing about the symbolism of Nataraj. It is there because it fits in perfectly in that place. They understand the symbolism of the cosmic dance.

Hitler believed in Swastika as well,lt used to be everywhere not just in front of one building in Switzerland, and what a hole in brain he had.And what disaster this belief IN SWASTIKA brought to first the Jews and then the rest of the world. It seems, like so many other Hindu in india to day,you a Brahmin (hidding behind Dalit) believe Hindutva will fill all the holes in indian (non hindu)brains, now that re-incarnation of Swastika believer Hitler has appeared in the form of Modi Raam?.
