"India Beat All Odds In Coronavirus Fight," Says PM Modi

Prime Delusional.....

India is Modi, and Modi is india.....

Made for each other.....

By the by, the cleverest Parsi/Jain/Marwari etc, who own 70% of India's wealth, have already fled India, and they won't be coming back anytime soon....

hey that has, been the case especially pakistan and other countries with with very limited resources and huge populations your income per capita is very poor so you guys are.not revealing the truth about covid.you live in closed country's like north Korea,no one knows the truth

Imagine the state India is in then when the "closed country", Pakistan, performs better on all "freedom of speech and expression" metrics, including freedom of the press, than the 'authoritarian state masquerading as a democracy' next door. Furthermore, as you've surely found out by now, dead bodies in rivers and on the streets cannot be hidden. Imagine the scale of India's woes when even with those "abundant" resources and per capita income Indians are still dying in hospital parking lots, streets, and everywhere else you turn your gaze. Yet, Pakistanis are not.

That said, if you need to fabricate fantastical stories to cope with what's going on in the world's forthcoming "super power", then by all means. We'll help a brother out.

The tragedy in India is not the existence of the second wave, but we have idiots making fatal descisions and too much chest thumping , the fact that India did not learn from the experience of Brazil, Peru, the UK, nor even the first Indian wave, and did not prepare adequately when it had the chance. For example, healthcare facilities set up in preparation for the first COVID-19 wave were prematurely closed down earlier this year.

Instead of chest thumping accept the facts and the government of India should be focussing its efforts on coordinating an international humanitarian response to improve health system capacity through expanding cooperation with NGOs already present in the country, accepting international cooperation and humanitarian support

India is a world leader in the production of drugs and vaccines, and often referred to as pharmacy of the world. But prices of most medicines, including essential medicines, is unaffordable for the average citizen. As spending on drugs account for a large share of the healthcare expenses for Indians and is a major cause of financial distress, pricing and quality reforms in the pharmaceutical sector are essential.

PS: most of the Bhakths forget the fact that Most of the money spent on health in India comes directly out of people’s own pockets, with government spending on health being one of the lowest in the world and that source of money is limited its not like everyone is ultra rich.

"India Beat All Odds In Coronavirus Fight," Says PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said despite dire predictions, India beat all odds in the global fight against the coronavirus. "Last year, in February-March, a lot of experts had said the India will be the worst-affected country, there will be tsunami of cases. They predicted 2 million deaths in the country. But India moved ahead with a proactive public participation," PM Modi said, addressing the World Economic Forum's Davos Dialogue. "Today, India is among countries that have succeeded in saving the maximum lives. The country, which comprises of 18% of the world's population, has saved the world from disaster by bringing the situation under control."

It's already the worst-affected country!

And what we see today is just the beginning of something even much scarier.

What is with this "you"? I live in Canada.

To a certain degree there is a major issue of under reporting in most poor countries. Having said that, most experts say that Pakistan and Bangladesh have faired far better than India.

Pakistan is not a closed country like North Korea, you have no idea what you're talking about. The WHO is monitoring Pakistan's covid response, as well as a number of NGOs.
