Actually, I haven't heard of this on the news.

And anyway, I never saw any Arab news channels supplied by my cable operator. In factr, I wanted DW, even that they said is not wanted by others and so he could not provide it.

Everything depends on the fool cable operators.

But PTV and QTV is a regular out here and as you know I watch both!

At least, will vouch me out on that!

Even when I visited Malaysia and stayed at the Palace of Horses, I didn't see any Arab channels being aired. They, however, had the arrow pointing towards Mecca on the roof.

PTV, QTV?? we don't have these channels any more...

Bahart had PTV in early 2000s but due to its poor content it was rejected by audience...we don't have any single pakistani channel

Yeah , they ban them for good reason. I lived in the middle east for some years and had the pleasure of watching PTV news. They ocassionally used to air a 5 minute documentary showing how indian soldiers distributed toy grenades to children that exploded , killing them all. Then they showed the interview of a women telling them how it all hapenned. They dubbed it in english and you couldn't hear what the women was saying in the orignal language. Perhaps they thought her accent would give her nationality away too easily. Show all you want about kashmir on your channels , show kashmiris hoisting pakistani flags , show them shouting anti india slogans , but if you show nonsense like toy grenades exploing , no one's going to take it. Actually this was the least interesting of all documentaries. There were other brilliant ones - indian soldiers distributing poisoned chocolates , indian soldiers blowing up houses for fun etc. Such fake news has the capability of causing lots of damage. I would love to see what your government would do to indian channels if they made up fake news like pashtuns killing balochis , punjabis killing someone else etc. Media has the capability of causing lot of unrest and violence and unless your channels just show the truth and not make fake sensationalist news to increase TRP ratings , we see no reason to allow them in such a sensitive region. However , i see no reason to ban pakistani channels in other states. Perhaps people will have a good laugh seeing indian solidiers distributing teddy bears that blow up or any other interesting stuff they come up with

well i dont know about the grenades thing (wouldnt surprise me either) but the other things you mentioned do go on; especially so in the majority Muslim Kashmir valley

as a Pakistani, i dont take indian banning personal or anything. Quit frankly, i could care less. Majority of indians -especially in the south and northeast regions would probably not even understand what is being said.
