Bangladeshi police are to set up check posts at the main entry points to the capital Dhaka to prevent the import of fruits which have been sprayed with alarming levels of a deadly chemical.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police unveiled the move after it found high levels of formalin, an illegal chemical which is sometimes used as a preservative and disinfectant, in almost all the fruits it checked in Dhaka's markets, DMP spokesman Masudur Rahman said.
Anyone found to have carried formalin-laced fruits could be jailed for up to two years or fined up to 200,000 taka (HK$20,014), he said.
A huge public outcry over formalin-mixed fruits prompted the ''unprecedented'' police move, as repeated tests by laboratories and food inspectors have found fruits sold in Bangladesh to contain an ''alarming level of formalin'' in an effort to extend their shelf life.
The items include edible oil, spices, sweets, milk products, lentils, pulses, juices, pickles, biscuits, jellies, dried fish, flour and tea leaves.--AFP

Do not vote for Hasina next tie...If you are so worried about Hasina...why not your people are starting a people movement like it is happening in India as well as Pakistan too...Recently in Pakistan Imran Khan is doing so much of new things in politics of Pakistan...Even in India too..we kicked out our corrupt Congi people as people do not wish they should continue..

So rather than ranting always that India is evil...go to the masses and genrate public awarness to go against Hasina...

There is no question my country is weak, but people have eyes and ears and they can put 2+2 together and that is happening as we speak. The question you and the people in South block need to ask is how long they expect to continue this exercise? What you risk is a back lash, that will bury everyone associated with India 6 feet under. Sooner or later that day will come and permanently change India's relationship with Bangladesh. That is what your fellow Indians need to worry about in South block, the inevitable dooms day that await your team in Bangladesh.

Actually he was talking about untold indian policy and actions based on anti Muslim agenda. Appealing to Muslim nations is different agenda and world order today specially Muslim unity is much more fragmented. Bangladeshis has to face their problem on their own.
