India and China hold talks on border dispute

Aksai chin is a barren land.....but it's the eye of central asia, with which we can look down at Delhi, and it'd be more than hard to occupy it from low areas, simply a sword hung over Indian's Head. How much will you pay for it?:cheesy::cheesy:
Some Chinese websites tell the same what you said.Do you know Indian now are standing at some places more higher and much more valuable aside Aksai Chin?

Part of India-controlled kirshmir is higher than Aksai chin but all of them are full of mountains.

Theoretically yes
You cant deploy too many troops over there and your final aim is to take the low lands
That means ground troops are still a lot more important to win the conflict although you can argue that having a highland garrison in A Chin would give us a 2-throng advantage over the Indians

Which is no more a "no solution" than a regular exchange of our food culture

Cheers

I would say due to the nationalist in both countries, any compromise will be considered as betrayer of the country..
India take quite a lot of land from China since last century.
Yet I would say it is difficult for India politics to give up these lands.
Also in China, with rising military and economy power, more and more people are wishing to use force to solve current problem.
I would say it is not easy to achieve a solution acceptable for both countries..

Wont you think its easy for China to make concessions as the chinese govt is not answerable to any one ,but if India gives land thats the political end of the party which does that.
Chinese govt dsnt have to answer or explain to its people.

Are you sure??
Comparing with India government, Chinese government usually do more, speak less to the people..
While India government talks too much but seldom do something for the people..
Also as we have advantage of economy, military and international laws, why would we make concession..
It is not a shame to return something that you steal..

Thats the point chinese govt dsnt have to talk or explain to its people,so if china really is intrested in long term peace, wont you think its easy for chinese govt to make concessions .

Frankly i don`t think so.
Why would Chinese government make concession with so many advantage..
