Include Bangladesh into G20: Yunus to Sarkozy

Usual Indians with their typical cheap attitude seems its just built into their DNA. Did anyone even bother to read the article properly? What Yunus pointed out is that by turning G20 to G25, by including five low-income and developing countries in the group will enable them to propose concrete, visible steps towards a broader approach(the fault of capitalism anyone?) to economic governance of global issues.

Bangladesh last year had to Lead the LDC group for negotiations regarding climate fund. Rich countries like India(!) claims they should get their fund but they don't talk about LDC only themselves. So there are countries that relies on us not because of economy but their own interest.

Thanks for clarifying the point, but I wonder whether G20 is the correct group, as smaller economies will not bring anything to the table. If providing new ideas is the point that can come from anywhere, any country, in any other forum.

I take back my question on botswana as it is no more a LDC country. Nor is Maldives(an important country in climate talks).

This sort of word does not suit from a person whose country has 77% person who live less then .5 dollar a day according to tendulkar report... though official report place it 37% people live below poverty line...has no senitation system... people do crap open...n breeding like rabbit which is causing more poverty.

n regarding power...

read this article...

Don`t tell us in public what to do, India asked US | | DAWN.COM

With this sort of lap dog attitude do not come here from barking.

Do not forget your country has 1/3 of the poor people of the earth and has more poor people then the 26 sub sahara african country..

n it is your country which is no. 1 in causing illegal immigration problem all around the world.

This is all you can come up with? There are 34 other countries who are more deserving than you..Why not them? What is the economic impact of Bangladesh to the world. After all G20 is an economic forum..Now go on hurling insults at India...but before that you evaluate your worth too..

BD could influence more countries than India if you did not know.

That was seriously delusional..but funny though..

.
Nothing wrong in allowing bangladesh into G20, but there are other countries which are more eligible and still excluded now(as mentioned above).
Bangladesh is 57th country by GDP (nominal). G20 is not about climate change or scintific or technical knowledge. It is a committee of central banker and finance minister who can coordinate among themselves against any financial issue(like credit crunch, money laundering, terror finance etc).
What finance muscle Bangladesh Bank posses, that 36 countries above it do not possess?

Do not talk all these useless crap over here if you do not have any idea about current economic trends and prospect.

Bangladesh along with nigeria and Vietnam are more deserving country to ask for g20... but despite bd is in 57th position, nigeria 43rd and vietnam is in 58th position...

By 2050 these countries are likely to be within to 20 world economy ... where nigeria is likely to be 6th largest economy by 2050...

Just look at the following video about the where the top 22 economy has been forecast ed for 2050...

This prediction has been made in 2005 with only 5% gdp growth on average for Bangladesh up to 2050...

Detail trend you can see up to 2050 with every 5 year interval in the following link:

BRIC - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

But look here bangladesh has already reached 110 billion mark which was forcasted for bangladesh for 2015.

With only 8% average gdp growth which is not far cry bd will achieve a gdp of 2.4 trillion at 2050 and with 10% gdp growth this will be around 5 trillion which is not impossible under present dollar value. In that scenario bd will be 10-12th largest economy by 2050.

For your info bd is expected to get 8% gdp growth by 2013 and 10% from 2017 and by the 2030 bd will be the 5th largest graduate producing country in the world in terms of population that will be 1.7 times higher then india and the amount will be more then 1.5 times then pakistan despite of having 70% population of pakistan.

As educated people of a country is the main mover of its economy... so you can easily predict its future and in bd woman has more literacy rate then boys which is not the case for pakistan or india.

And i guess you already know bd is already emerging as a manufacturing hub of the world...

I did not compare BD and botswana.
I said why botswana cannot be inspired to develop by making it part of G20. It is eligible by the same logic on its own, not compared to bd.
Why botswana cant be in G20, please dont compare with BD and reply.

An wise will get it easily looking the picture below:

Here we have better position in GDP and literacy, and more possibility. And our possibility will be induced by manyfolds by inspiration - no doubt, so no more answer.

Botswana has a gdp of $28.418 billion
Bangladesh has a GDP of $257.545 billion

but that doesn't prove anything, its just a hypothesis live with it. We don't demand a seat nor we are crying for it. It amazes me that how much a mere recommendation
stirs up the BIG(!)(insert cheap) heart of our so called neighbor.

Botswana population 2 million.. per capita (nominal) $6796.. PPP $15450

Bangladesh population 161 million per capita (nominal) 641 PPP $1566

Seriously we should stop comparing Bangladesh with Botswana..

instead of becoming a foolish and talking like a stupid you should have read the whole post of mine... and the article where what younus said to sarkozy...

This no. 22 is based on a moderate rate of 5% but bd is likely to achieve much much higher gdp then that... 8% gdp is a moderate value and with it bd will have economy of 2.4 trillion...

and with 10% average gdp growth it will be 5 trillion.

In any scenario with a booming economy and well educated population there are plenty of opportunity for bd to develop a big economy... and play a big role in the international arena..

within 3 year bd is expected to export worth 30 billion usd RMG... it is building a robust ship building industry along with pharmaceuticals industry..

http://www.thefinancialexpress-bd.com/more.php?news_id=119534&date=2010-12-08

in manufacturing already bd is trying to get china's 200 billion usd diversified RMG and its toy market...

In it and car manufacturing bd has also a big prospect...

And i guess you already know bd is already emerging as a manufacturing hub of the world...

better you worry about communal riot by your radical hindu leaders and break up of some part of india due to discrimination.

By the way younus asked to add another 5 emerging developing country in the existing G20... but pakistan has been excluded for the list of emerging country by citi bank in its report of next 11 3G countries... so pakistan may not come in the G25.

Do you agree that if inspiring a country is the criteria then every aspiring developing country deserves to be inspired?

If you have better chance, probably an african country should be inspired more.

So by your logid india which is home to worlds 1/3 poor country Should be compared with Botswana then or be the part of G20??? Its economy is big only cause of its bredding like rabbit population. Acountry where 77% people with less then .5 dollar a day and crap open as it has no proper sanitation system... sounds funny to be in G20.

Inspiration comes from all the ground work, current trend and future prospect. If any country of africa can show that they should deserve to be inspired... nigeria and egypt can be included in the list based on this criteria.

.
Pakistan, bangladesh and nigeria always considered as next sleeping giants... Bangladesh and nigeria should be included in the list... may be pakistan also but pakistan lost its track so it may not be... n this is the reason why it has been excluded from the next 11 3g country list by citi bank.

Even India has much lower per capita income than Botswana: India is $1,176 and Botswana is $6796 (Wiki source). So what does it proof? What Botswana produces and exports? We have bigger GDP, industries, export rates, literacy rate and possibility and we will follow the same way as like India managed to get G20 membership. That is because of India's bigger population and GDP volume, not per capita income exactly. Clear?

Now look here: What are the criteria for G-20 membership?

In a forum such as the G-20, it is particularly important for the number of countries involved to be restricted and fixed to ensure the effectiveness and continuity of its activity. There are no formal criteria for G-20 membership and the composition of the group has remained unchanged since it was established. In view of the objectives of the G-20, it was considered important that countries and regions of systemic significance for the international financial system be included. Aspects such as geographical balance and population representation also played a major part.

FAQ

^ Here regional significance is also important.

BD is not even in the top 10 Islamic countries. Yunus is a fool ho has started thinking himself as an International Leader.

Population Density = 1000.
Where he will store the population if you allot land for Industries?

The Muslim and the Black Man still has a long time to go.
