Art attack


T2 is also home to one of the world's largest art space. The museum, called Jaya He, captures the expanse, depth and beauty of Indian art, craft and cultural heritage, while initiating the visitor into experiences that lies beyond its door. Jaya He is a narrative of India’s incredible diversity, living in multiple centuries simultaneously.

Titled Recycled Mumbai, this is an artistic map of Mumbai. The artist collected discarded buttons, microchips and circuits from which a large map of the city of Mumbai was fashioned. The work builds upon the pixilated image of Mumbai as seen on Google Earth and tries to recreate the eye-in-the-sky view of a world connected by satellites.

wow.. impressive. But it's an entirely different world when you are about to land at Mumbai airport. It feels as if the aircraft is about to scrape slum rooftops while landing. It's about time they give bit of a makeover to the external landscape of Mumbai international airport!

Not so bad now as it used to be 10 years ago. They really have improved the current one after IGI was built

Not really my friend. Was there only 5 months ago... nothing has changed in that front. Slums are still intact. You don't notice much while landing at domestic terminal.. but international is still pretty much the same. There was an initiative earlier to clear off those illegal settlements. But votebank politics got in the way...
